Since I won't be here tomorrow to blog (as I hope the rest of you also won't be) but will be lounging on one of Southern California's sunny beaches, I want to leave you with one of my favorite versions of the Star Spangled Banner.

Thank you Leonard Thomas! Every year around this time, without skipping a beat, I'll wake up one morning and there's a flag in my yard. Attached to the flag is a blurb that says something like "Compliments of Leonard Thomas".

As we near the weekend, I wanted to take time to ponder and remember why it is that we have this Holiday Weekend. Memorial Day was orginally set up to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us, those that gave their lives in combat.

Get offended, be opinionated, do whatever you want... We as Realtors are mighty privileged to live in this land and enjoy the freedoms we possess. Preserve them! Embrace them! What we really need to do is appreciate the life given to us and stand up for what is right.
The Pledge of Allegiance...most of us remember reciting it as kids in a classroom. We've grown into a society that doesn't appreciate the freedoms that we have in this great country. September 11, 2001 is one of those days in our HISTORY that we should NEVER, EVER forget. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I learned what was happening on that horrible morning. 
On my way to breakfast Friday (7-27-07) I was asked by a mutual friend of ours how I felt about the concert Brenda and I attended Thursday night. My answered confused him. I responded humbled!
