While inspecting this 2 year old
property, I happed to notice that the fixed window was installed up side down.
All vinyl windows have drain holes to allow water to drain out of the channel.
This window has the drain holes at the top. OOPS! This will be an expensive

It never ceases to amaze me when
I see the things that plumbers do. When I walked around the side of the house,
all I could do was shake my head and laugh.
This fella would would have had a
tough time reaching this spigot as it was

building a work shop out in the back of the house, it seems as if he wanted to

The
other day, I was inspecting a 3 year old property
and came across this in every room of the property. Granted, builders
often install dust covers on smoke alarms when they are in the construction
phase to keep dust and other contaminants out of the photo eyes. Generally, the

As a licensed home inspector for the State of Tennessee and an ASHI certified home inspector, I am continually in and out of properties almost daily; some new - some old. Generally, it is the older properties that I find really fascinating. I entered the master bath of an ‘80's style ranch
