It is disappointing news for Real Estate agents and Home Buyers. The rates for 30 year mortgages rose for the fourth straight week. Rates were 6.53 this week , up from rate of 6.42 last week. This is the highest they have been since August 10,2006 when they were 6.55.

According to a gloomy assessment by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), homes sales are set to fall by 4.6 percent this year on a national level. That’s more than double the prediction they made just two months ago.
