feng shui: Clearing and Cleaning, or, Fall Feng Shui - 11/20/09 05:11 AM
Most of us always think of the major home overhaul as "Spring Cleaning," and don't get me wrong, I'm a big spring cleaner. However, something over takes me this time of year and I've come to call it, "Fall Feng Shui," or simply put, the pre-holiday de-clutter ritual.
Whether or not you believe in Feng Shui, the ancient art of placement that our Asian friends have been applying for a couple thousand years, is not the point. In fact, you don't need to know a thing about Feng Shui in order to understand and recognize that the "feeling' of a place … (5 comments)

feng shui: New Year---New Chi - 01/12/09 07:38 AM
Whether you're one of those agents who has told me 2008 was your best year yet, or one of the many others who almost got a job at Starbucks, I've got a little Feng Shui Fun for you.
Since way back when (and I'm talking ancient times) nearly all cultures practiced some kind of clearing ceremonies, based on their own cultural beliefs, and what they cleared for could be anything from evil spirits to just plain old bad luck. And, of course, part of the process is in attracting good energy and good luck. Now some of you may think of … (7 comments)

In fact, while I know some of us had our best year ever in 2008, there are many agents who did not....and when it comes down to it, we can all use a little luck.

feng shui: Only For the Open-Minded - 12/30/08 02:55 AM
Besides the fun show I have planned this morning www.BlogTalkRadio.com/RealEstateTherapist on setting and getting goals for 2009, I have a gift for those of you who understand the magic behind true success.
Being an Internet marketer for some time, and even as an agent, I understand that "free gifts" usually include the requirement that you give up your email address and then be unmercifully bombarded with shameless marketing messages from which you must then "unsubscribe." Not the case here.  In fact, my free little e-book does NOT require you to give me your e-mail address, your first born, or even your … (4 comments)

feng shui: Western Feng Shui Show Today! - 12/10/08 12:53 AM
If compasses, birth year calculations and the five elements get a little confusing for you, that's no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water. Now I'm a true believer in Feng Shui and my training has been in Classic Chinese tradition, however, for the open-minded, there's another way to work with it that tends to be much easier for we Westerners.
Western Feng Shui works on the same premise as all Feng Shui (using the Bagua Map and the five elements), but it is much less complicated and instead inspires energy through asthetics. In other words, while I have … (2 comments)

feng shui: Short Sales, Foreclosures and Feng Shui - 12/04/08 09:23 AM
Okay, before anyone calls me a "woo woo," let me qualify myself and say I'm a real estate professor, author, agent and spent years working at the Calif. Assn. Realtors. All that said, I also am a huge proponent and practitioner of Feng Shui. Why? Because it works.
Without getting into the nuts and bolts, philosophies or specifics, I wanted to explain one of the observations I've had with short sales and foreclosed properties that don't seem to be moving. You see, in Feng Shui, everything is energy. And that's not really rocket science, in fact, it's quantum physics, but that's … (13 comments)
