And they say the market is slow... stats for Ashburn & the Broadlands - 09/29/08 09:54 PM
This week might having me whistling a different tune by next week, but my last two listings had buyers making offers and contracts being accepted in less than 6 hours. I must admit the buyers were ready to buy, made good decisions with their offers, and because we (the buyer' agents and and I) had good communication skills, the negotiating went smoothy. What my sellers witnessed was a strategy that most Realtors try extremely hard to communicate to most sellers.... Pricing your home correctly the first time will get you a contract without the need for more price adjustments and days on the market, (0 comments)
Valley vs Stonebridge- Giving to Jenny Donaldson - 09/22/08 09:36 PM
A Realtor's job is not always about helping buyers and sellers with their homes. It also entails giving back to the community and to friends in need. This past Friday, I was able to volunteer at the "Coaches' Grill" during theLoudoun Valley-Stone Bridge High School football game.
Softball Coach and teacher Mr. Spicer along with the help of Patti Hansen, parent volunteer, make Chef Emeril's grilling techniques look dismal. The goal was to help raise money for Jenny Donaldson's medical bills. The eventual outcome of the Loudoun Valley vs Stone Bridge was what everyone predicted- Stone Bridge easily (0 comments)

He is the Cats Meow- HELP! - 09/12/08 03:14 PM
For anyone who is a cat lover and who understands the very peculiar personality traits of this animal, I need help! My household is full of women, except for my husband and our very not so male cat, Yomani. He is the most beautiful guy I have ever seen. The problem is, he is also has one of the loudest and most annoying voices I have ever heard. From the time he awakes, usually about 5:30am or, if I am lucky, around 6:30 when I come down to the kitchen to start the coffee, he begins his meowing. He continues and (0 comments)

I know you have heard about the Pickens Plan, but do you really know it? T. Boon Pickens, a Texas billionaire, has come up with a plan and has a goal to utilizes natural energy. In a letter to the Wall Street Journal, Pickens states that 70% of our oil comes from foreign nations. $700 billion of our money is sent overseas to pay for that oil. "He believes he has the solution - "a blueprint to reduce foreign oil dependence by harnessing domestic energy alternatives and buying time for us to develop even greater new technologies." Be Prepared- Homes security measures for sellers and agents - 09/03/08 09:43 PM
Did you know that September is NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH? Now that most vacations are over and back-to-school shopping is done, we can turn our attention to being prepared for what ever might come our way. Funny thing is that I did not expect an unusual incident would happen at my Broker's Open House yesterday. It was nearing 2:30 pm, the end of my open house. I was happy that my new listing at 40432 Milford Drive, Broadlands, VA., had so many agents previewing it. The home is located in the Broadlands, which is in Ashburn.
