Letter from the Seller ~

 

Thank you for your interest in our home.  We have spent five very happy years living here.  Our home is set in the Mystic Historic District and was built in 1879.   Our fondest memories of living at 12 Burrows Street will always be of our children playing outside, running in and out of the pool, and rolling down the hill in our front yard chasing our black lab ‘Bella’.  This has been a great home for entertaining, for our children to play and grow up in, and for enjoying the town of Mystic.

In the summertime we spend most of our time outside, in the pool, and on the back porch, which becomes our seasonal dining room.  We had our yard professionally landscaped and designed flower, and plant beds to be attractive throughout the year. You will find them to be especially colorful in the spring and summer. With over 30 windows the cross breeze on the hill is a wonderful way to stay cool. We installed central air conditioning so we could enjoy cool nights sleeping upstairs, but rarely use it during the day.  The many windows and skylights also provide an abundance of sunlight in every room of the house.  Most of the year we take advantage of our location to walk into town to enjoy the restaurants and shopping. We also enjoying walking and jogging along the river. In the spring, summer and fall, we walk our kayak down the hill and begin paddling from the drawbridge.  

 

Our location is ideal. We are walking distance to downtown Mystic, the Mystic Noank library, parks and shopping and yet the home is only one mile away from Interstate 95.  The inside of our home has a wonderful layout with room for both formal and casual living. There are great views throughout the house.  We replaced all the wood floors when we moved in and they are in great shape.   The downstairs is open and spacious with bright rooms and great views. 

 

Over the last five years we have invested significant money and time into our home, making it a wonderful place to live.  We hope the next owners of our home love this house as much as we have.
