real estate: Hang on to the old or grab on to the new? - 02/08/11 03:05 PM
Now those that know me KNOW that I love to sing.  Mainly Country Music but I have been known to sing some other tunes much to my daughter's chagrin.  There are many songs out there that tell stories that we can all relate to and others that can easily identify a particular mood you might be in.
As I was doing my nightly blog reading this evening I stumbled upon a rather effective marketing blog geared toward home owner's who might be looking for a listing agent.  While I agree with with much of what the author had to offer, I … (4 comments)

real estate: Vista Print Customers BEWARE - 01/27/10 09:07 AM
Vista Print Customers BEWARE
It is tax season and like many in the Real Estate or Sales Industry we have numerous advertising costs associated with our business.  Being that I do most of the marketing and ordering and Pamela Ann does all the bill paying, it is real easy to miss $14.00 to $17.00 a month being charged to your business card.
Fortunately, we do a thorough job in preparing for our tax returns, thus we lay everything out and go back through all our expense files and relook.  We noticed a VPCLUBUS charge repetitively over the months and neither of … (9 comments)

real estate: Trying to save a dollar - 12/20/09 07:20 AM

Trying to save a dollar today by cutting corners could cost you money and clients in the long run.
You see it every day in large manufacturers and corporations - the key to success is a quality product at a good price and great customer service.  If the product quality is not there, word will get out and over time the product will suffer severely or fail to sale altogether costing companies a great amount of money and reduced confidence by consumers.  If you fail to provide professional and respectful customer service, the same will hold true - after all, … (7 comments)

real estate: Real Estate is more than just a paycheck and more than just a business transaction - 08/31/09 03:03 PM

You know, for me, Real Estate is more than just a paycheck and more than just a business transaction.  Pam and I take our duties as Realtors very serious as real lives are affected either positively or negatively dependent on the service and advice that we provide our clients.  That is a HUGE responsibility and one that should be taken seriously by all in the Real Estate Profession whether you are a Realtor, Home Inspector, Mortgage Broker and even the Insurance Agent.
When you are speaking about a residential real estate, you are speaking of the largest financial transaction that most American … (3 comments)

real estate: Stimulate me! - 02/16/09 01:47 PM

I know we have some brilliant minds in this country.  There is absolutely no doubt about that.  Question is, where are they?  Why are they not speaking up and letting us know their thoughts in respect to the latest deficit increase that our elected leaders have chose to put on our backs?
It seems to me that our leaders elected officials are rolling the dice with our futures and the futures of our children and even our grandchildren.  Of course many of those who have voted to pass this 'stimulus' package have a posh retirement package awaiting them at the … (4 comments)

real estate: Playing with Photos - 02/08/09 05:23 AM
Pamela Ann got a new camera - another Canon Rebel, but the biggest one of the line.  The old one was 1st generation and starting to have issues.  Of course anyone who knows Pam, knows she loves to take pictures and scrapbook along with her passion for Real Estate.  Thought I would share some of her handy work..

real estate: A form of praise perhaps? - 08/10/08 10:58 AM
Yesterday we came to terms on two investment properties that I had been working on for a couple of months with one of our clients.  As my dear wife Pamela Ann will attest to, I am rather aggressive when it comes to taking care of a client or pursuing a lead.  Sometimes I believe I am too aggressive.
As we were signing the last of the paperwork on the contract and walking through the two properties my client turned to his daughter and said "I have finally found someone who works as hard as I do".  At that his daughter looked … (1 comments)

real estate: The Clarksville Market is Booming! - 07/31/08 01:05 PM
Either that or folks are seeing my pretty face on the internet alot lately!  (Okay, maybe - just possibly it is Pamela Ann's face..)  Nonetheless the market is certainly popping in the past week for us.  We have always kept an upbeat attitude during a period of slower than usual activity and ALWAYS kept our clients informed.  In the past week we have been covered up (not a bad thing) with showings of our client's listings (A GOOD THING) and leads contacting us wanting information.  Since we both love dealing with people and showing homes - we are having a grand time … (4 comments)

real estate: Clarksville and Montgomerty County School Budget - 07/30/08 11:23 AM
As school is a mere week away for many of our children, I thought I would post some news for parents and those who are moving to the Fort Campbell and Clarksville area in the coming months.  First let me say that CLARSKVILLE AND MONTGOMERY SCHOOL SYSTEM IS OUTSTANDING

Now that I have got that out of my system, let me add the reason that the schools are outstanding are a combination of great faculty and teachers as well as INVOLVED PARENTS - yes - you heard it - Clarksville Schools are as good as they are because the … (2 comments)

real estate: Clarksville's Sister Cities in the spotlight - 07/29/08 12:40 PM
For those that are relocating to the Clarksville and Fort Campbell Area area, we have much to offer not only in our great city but in cities that are in driving distance. Anyone who says that there in nothing to do is simply not looking very hard.

Our daughter enjoys Girl Scouts, dance and other activities.  Because of this we have opportunities to travel to cities that are not to far from Clarksville for many fun and learning activities.  One of our sister cities is Huntsville Alabama.  Huntsville is a mere 2.5 hours from Clarksville.  It is an easy drive.  In Huntsville … (4 comments)

real estate: Get your Limited Addition Monopoly Board! - 07/27/08 02:33 PM
As I read more about the 'Mortage Bail Out Bill' it makes me wonder just what our society holds as values and morals. Many liken the struggles we are facing in America to the beginning of the Great Depression, but is that really the case?
Or, is it that some of us in America think of our lives as a board game? Or at least our financial well being? Granted there are those who are down on their luck, who had absolutely no choice - but again are they the rule or the exception? I know these thoughts are most … (2 comments)

real estate: Floor Duty - Interesting day - 07/27/08 05:06 AM
Crye-Leike is one of the very few agencies that are open SEVEN DAYS a week, complete with a receptionist and an Agent on duty.  Many of the citizens here in the Clarksville Real Estate Market do not realize this, but I am here to let you know that we are open and ready to serve you!
That said, I am an opportunity kind of guy and like to swing by the office on the weekends if I do not have alot going on.  Yesterday was one of those days - so I stopped in and found that there was an open … (14 comments)

real estate: Clarksville and Montgomery County Parents can check their children's work online - 07/25/08 01:29 AM
Another reason I love the great city of Clarksville.  Anyone who states that public schools are not challenging our students, or are not engaged should look at the Clarksville and Montgomery County Tennessee School system as an example of how it should be ran.

I would put our schools up against any district - as a parent I believe that much in this system!  Here is yet another example why - "PowerSchool provides grade data for all students"  Yet another opportunity for Clarksville and Montgomery County Parents to get INVOLVED with their child's education.

Our daughter goes to middle … (3 comments)

real estate: The Gratitude Campaign - a gesture of thanks for service to our Nation. - 07/24/08 10:51 AM
I received this from a good friend of mine today who is serving abroad and felt obliged to share with you.  I can understand the inability of some to find the words to say thank you to our young men and women in uniform - believe me - it is tough for the Soldier to find words some times.  Please share this with your friends and family and remember our Soldiers in harms way!

Recently, Scott Truitt from Seattle created a gesture which could be used as a massive movement to get the word out to thank our service members.
