It is hard to believe today is the last day in February!  We have been experiencing weather we usually see in April time frame here in Clarksville.  I for one look forward to the longer and warmer days to come! 
 

Gotta love the daffodils sprouting up in so many places around town!

This has been an unseasonably cold Winter in Clarksville Tennessee.  While I don't believe we have set records in snowfall, this has got to be the most snow that I have seen in my 20 years of residing here.  Anyone who has lived here knows that folks just flat out cannot drive when it comes to snow in Clarksville!
Fortunately for our friends, they prefer to walk and stay in territory they know - all the while looking for something interesting (and tasty) to munch on.

With the end of Deer Season here in Tennessee quickly ending I figured it was safe to post this picture of a few of my herd.  These are three of the best spreads I have seen - while decades ago I would have loved to have had them in my sites nowadays I simply enjoy watching them in the yard.

Wordless Wednesday - Let it Snow in Tennessee
Well, maybe not so wordless.  The winter in Clarksville TN is still young, but we have already seen one of the coldest in over a decade.  Snow is not uncommon here but it generally is not a large accumilation.  We were fortunate (depending on if you were the one who had to shovel the drive!) to have about six inches to enjoy for a few days.

It has been a little while since I have posted a Wordless Wednesdaypost.  To our fans, my apologies.  Pamela Ann has given me another great shot in which to share.  As many of you know, we rescued a male cat (1 year old) from the shelter.  He was named Ice Cream, Ashley and Pam named him Romeo and I affectionately call him BUBBA.  He is a clumsy but lovable and playful cat.  Gabriella (the one under the chair) was our original cat and the Queen of the Castle so she did not take too well to Bubba coming into her kingdom.  … (9 comments)

Now, I am sure you have seen our cat Gabby on a few different posts.  A little bit about this SPOILED cat.  As alot of you know we have alot of gardens and alot of water features - with that comes rodents like moles and snakes.  A friend of mine had a litter of kittens - raised outdoors with their mother.  Pam said one day after pulling up a rock with a bed of babies (SNAKES) that we needed a cat.....Well we got a cat but that darn cat has not stepped foot out of the house since coming home.
