The Carolina Renaissance Festival takes place on weekends through November 22 and has something for everyone.
South Pacific will be at Belk Theater at various times November 10-15 and Neil Simon's Plaza Suite will be at CPCC's Halton Arena November 13-14 and 20-22.
If you are looking for theater for the younger crowd, try Elmo's Green Thumb at Bojangles Coliseum November 12-15.

North Carolina is one of the most appealing states in the country according to a recent poll.
North Carolina tied with Arizona and Washington as the sixth most popular states in the nation when it comes to where people want to live.
Coastal states tend to dominate the list as California (1), Florida (2) and Hawaii (3) rounded out the top three.
The other most popular states were:
4-Texas 5-Colorado 9-Tennessee 10-Oregon 11-New York 12-South Carolina and Massachusetts 14-Georgia 15-Montana

The North Carolina State Fair is just around the corner. This year's fair will run from October 15-25. Admission to the fair is $7 for adults and $2 for children 6-12 at the gate.
