Interviewing a Listing Agent
If you are a seller and planning on interviewing agents, I have found that this is a great tool to help keep you on track.
10 Questions every Seller should
ask an Agent before hiring them to list their house!
1. Are you a Realtor? Realtors answer to a Code of Ethics, not just the laws of Virginia.
2. Are you a full-time agent? In this market agents need to be on the cutting edge of the industry.  Generally, full-time agents are able to dedicate all of their time and attention to their clients.

The weather in Virginia Beach is a changing!   In are area you hear people often say... if you don't like the weather in Virginia Beach, just give it an hour!  That is a true statement,  most of the time.  But come September and October you can definitely notice the change in seasons.  The humidity cuts way back almost to none and the breezes start to feel a little bit cooler.   This is one of the reasons I have been told that people like to migrate here from other parts of the country.  If you're coming from the north , … (0 comments)

Top Real Estate Firms in Virginia Beach is not that easy to determine.  Mainly because most agents are independent contractors and don't necessarily own any shares of the actual firm.  Keller Williams Town Center in Virginia Beach is a little different.  Keller Williams agents are also owners in the firm.  Because Keller Williams profit shares to its agents they take ownership and actually participate in the financial being of the market center.  If the market center makes a profit then the agents that participate also make a profit.  This profit comes from the owners not from the agents.  This is why Keller Williams agents share their … (0 comments)

Hampton Roads Short Sales make up about 30% of the real estate market in our area.  By using trend lines we are able to see the effect this has on the market.  Many of the questions that I am asked as a Broker are "Is the offer a contract or an offer?"   This has to do with the verbiage in the contract.  In the Hampton Roads area, Short Sales purchase agreements are traditionally written on the same contracts that we use for traditional sales.  That is why it's very important to make sure your agent is familiar with the verbiage that may protect the … (0 comments)
