Well, are you? Is it just me or are you feeling inundated with GOING GREEN paraphernalia? From TV news stories, news articles, posters, signs, car advertisements, festivals, paper/plastic or neither and the list goes on. Sure, I can appreciate all of this public educational hoopla but when you get personal, are you going too far? Imagine this.....You decide to go on vacation with the family for a week to Hatteras, North Carolina. If anyone is interested in a relaxing vacation getaway, I would suggest Hatteras, North Carolina. It's about one hour south of Nags Head, NC. My family and I reside in Warrenton, Virginia and just returned from a week at the beach in Hatteras. Although Frisco is what I would consider to be desolate, we still managed to keep our two young children entertained. It's definitely not commercialized with fast food restaurants or grocery stores. The nearest Food Lion was about 20+ minutes away in a neighboring town, Buxton. We visited Cape Hatteras and went to, what some people referred to, "the Point." If you have a team, I believe the best way to keep everyone motivated is to do one on one coaching. I believe it not only keeps you up on what they are doing, but it helps keep their eyes tuned into what they are doing as well. If they do not have a goal they have nothing to work towards, and I believe every one likes a challenge. Also, the one on one is really a great way of finding out any issues one may be having and helping them before the issue gets too big. I also believe it makes (2 comments)

Yesterday, on 07/07/2007, I attended my brother-in-laws wedding. Apparently, this day was a special day for many other brides and grooms-to-be. Many venues, caterers, and disc jockeys were booked for this LUCKY DAY! They were married on the hilltop in THE PLAINS which offered a beautiful view for the guests. I am quite sure that the pictures will be incredible. Warrenton has a lot to offer. I was married at St. John's Catholic church in Warrenton. We held our reception in the parish hall. My sister's reception was held at Airlie many years ago. Airlie is just as beautiful today as it was then. (0 comments)

For many first time home buyers and seasoned veterans, reading a land description or commonly known as a "plat" can be a little confusing. Surveyors usually start their description by locating a permanent man-made monument established by a local government agency. This monument is usually referred to as a permanent reference mark. From this monument, they will use their instruments to locate one corner of the parcel. This point is known as the "Point of Beginning" (POB) or "Point of Commencement" (POC). Okay, I know this is not your typical request on active rain but, I'm calling on all my colleagues for help. Everyone knows a Realtor but, does every Realtor know the perfect wedding location? I sure hope so because I'm running out of time. I have found the most wonderful man in the world but, I can't seem to find the location to marry him. The wedding is supposed to take place in September which also happens to be hurricane season. We would love to get married someplace warm and by the water.
