Check out this video I did about some new tools that Re/Max is providing us to better market our listings.

The tools are text messaging and QR codes. The text messaging will allow a prospective buyer to drive up to one of our listings and text to request more information about a listing. The details will imediately be sent to the phone of the prospective buyer. The other tool is the use of a QR code.

Favourite thing to do: Go to St Jacobs Farmers Market - 01/26/11 11:31 PM

One thing I like to do on weekend in Waterloo is go to the St Jacobs farmers market. The market is located in North Waterloo and is a great place to get fresh produce, meat and visit the shops. The whole area is surrounded by stores, restaurants, a playhouse theatre and a really nice Best Western.

Check out this Beach. -25C or -13F - 01/23/11 07:27 PM
Went to the beach today! But the temperature was -25degC. You can't swim in the water. We are in the midst of a real cold snap right now so the temperatures have been going from -10 to -25degC.
The town we were in was Meaford located in the Georgian Triangle. This is a beautiful area and is well known for the skiing on Blue Mountain and other hills.

Jim Flaherty Announces New Mortgage Lending Rules - 01/17/11 05:27 PM

I write this blog post on Blue Monday. Blue Monday is supposedly the most depressing day of the year because of holiday debt. See this Wikipedia article about Blue Monday. The Federal goverment announced today that it was going to introduce some new rules to help reduces Canadians household debt.
Here are the mortgage rules that Minister Jim Flaherty unveiled: Maximum mortgage amoritization will be reduced from 35 years to 30 years The maximum amount that a borrower can refinance their mortgages will be lowered from 90% to 85% The goverment will stop insurance backing lines of credit such … (0 comments)

Back from Vacation! Kitchener Waterloo Real Estate Market in 2011 - 01/09/11 11:55 PM

Just got back from vacation! We went to Orlando Florida and went to Disney World. We spent about 4 days going to the different them parks. We visited Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. For the last few days of our vacation we went over to Dayto na Beach for a little downtime. We needed a vacation from our vacation. Disney was really intense!! We had a terrific time!! The only low-light, I broke my toe!
