On December 30, 2011, Oklahoma Sooners will meet up with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Though quite a bit of distance between the two teams geographically, they are closer than one may think ….
Bruce Kittle, assistant coach for the Sooners, played four years as an Iowa Hawkeye. "He was a four-year letterman, a starting offensive tackle and a team captain for the first of (Haden) Fry’s three Rose Bowl squads. The City of Edmond has a new user friendly website!

 
Other than being very easy to navigate throughout the site, they have included a signup to be notified by email or text message when there's been a new website posting. To make it even better, you only have to sign up for one department to receive the updates - not all of them!
 
City employment opportunities will be posted as well as an online application.
 
Have a problem? Residents can fill out an online report on problems like neighbors not mowing their lawns.

Wednesday meeting for Edmond City Council to consider a vote to realign ward boundaries.
Edmond City Council members have moved up their regular meeting to noon Wednesday, December 21st, to consider redrawing the city's four council wards boundaries.
After each 10-year census, outlays of the wards must be evaluated, according to state law which requires the population of each ward be substantially equal.
Each ward would have between 19,342 and 21,240 voters in the proposed realignment. However, Ward 4 would have the greatest number of voters which extends east of Kelly Avenue to Bryant Avenue and south from Waterloo Road … (0 comments)

There's Still Time!! Christmas is only 10 days away, but there is still time to experience the Chckasha Festival of Light. It runs every night until December 31st and can be seen 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
 
It is amazing that almost 1,200 volunteers help put up the displays over six weekends.
