Mountainside, NJ, is a beautiful borough in northwestern Union County and is home to nearly 6700 people. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Mountainside as its 16th best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey, as well as eighth in the 2010 list.
In Mountainside, 74 homes were sold in 2012 with sales peaking in June and resulting in a 19% decrease in inventory at the end of 2012 compared to the beginning of 2012. Only 38 homes are actively for sale in Mountainside creating urgency on the part of buyers. There is (2 comments)

Here are some Easter Egg Hunts especially for Union County kids this weekend: Summit PAL is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny on April 7th at 10 AM at the Family Aquatic Center at 100 Ashwood Avenue. This event is open to all Summit residents. Cranford Chamber of Commerce hosts breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Garlic Rose, 28 North Avenue, on April 7th at 9AM. Cost is $10 for children and $15 for adults, and photos are an additional $3. Email firstname.lastname@example.org more info. Mountainside, NJ, is a beautiful town in Western Union County, NJ, and is home to almost 6700 people. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Mountainside as its 8th best place to live in NJ in 2010 and it's 16th best place to live in its 2008 rankings.
In comparing the real estate market for the last six February's, we discovered that the slow market that Mountainside has experienced for the past two years appears to be over! The Union County Baseball Association is holding its award ceremonies on Sunday, February 12 at 1:00 at L’Affaire Banquet Center in Mountainside. Westfield High baseball players Dan Kerr and A.J. Murray will be honored as Union County Baseball Players of the Year. Jackie Lima of Linden High School will be honored as Union County Softball Player of the Year. Ray Korn, former Elizabeth High baseball coach will be honored for the winningest overall coaching record in Union County history.
