I consider myself to be very fortunate to have a very skilled real estate trainer at my finger tips.  Midori Miller is Daytona Beach, Florida's top real estate trainer and she works for my company CENTURY21 Sundance Realty. 

We all have the opportunity to learn and some of us take advantage of it and some of us feel we are to busy.  Well, when Midori came to our office almost 4 years I was very busy, the top dog of our company for many years in a row and had no time for one on one training.  I am an REALTOR who prides herself in continued education and I did not take advantage of this one on one training until recently.

I can honestly say, "Thanks to Midori I am in front of the eight ball with Web 2.0".  Yes, for the last two years Midori has been very politely tell me to blog, blog and do more blogging.  Well I haven't quite mastered that but I can say that I'am putting forth a honest effort. 

Month after month she would give me projects to do such as joining social networks such as Active Rain, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc..  At first I felt like a fish out of water and even to this day sometimes I feel like she is speaking to me in a foreign language.

Paradigm Logo  For the last two days I have been in a REO certification class with Paradigm Default System.  The content of the course was everything I already knew but now I have credibility to my knowledge.  The last part of the class was on Web 2.0. Let me tell you, I knew everything they were teaching the class and I owe all that to Midori, because she helped me become knowledgeable in an area that I didn't think I really understood.

 

 

So I guess the message here is take advantage of the training that might be right under your nose and don't take it for granted.  As we all know it doesn't always last not everything is forever.

In this real estate market we are hearing about a lot of horrible things going on such as mortgage fraud, the collapsing of IndyMac, and Freddie and Fannie Mac's issues.

I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like our country's homeownership is in such perils that the American dream might slip away and not be for everyone. With all of the negative press around us I really try hard not to bury my head in the sand (however, some days it's a really good idea) but I try to find positive influences to keep me smiling.

We all want our business to pick up to a degree its keeps us on our toes. Not that those of us that are in this marketplace as a career are not busy because we have started re-engineering ourselves and gone back to some basics we forgot about when we were really crazy busy.

I immediately went to Google and entered the name Dr. Kareem Daouda and lots of information came up referencing a "SCAM". What tipped me off about this email? Simply, look at the telephone number then read the body. Oh yea, I can call him overseas to so he can get to know me better. Not to long ago I read an guide in eBay from a seller trying to sell their home and how they got involved in a check scam from Nigeria.

I know we all want more business but do you really want this kind of business?

This little guy was found in my front yard in Ormond Beach, Florida.  Unfortunately, my new friend is missing a claw.  Maybe I should call him the Clawless Wonder.  I have never seen such beautiful colors on one of God's creatures.  How blessed we are to have such beauty around us. Also, my husband trying to do the right thing placed my new friend in a pond near our home.  However, unbeknown to him blue crabs are NOT lovers of water they are land crabs.  It just was not his day!

As of December 31, 2006 there were 59 homes AVAILABLE this includes some new construction such as in Sedona, Promenade, Centennial and Joyelle. At this point there are 6 homes PENDING. The highest priced home is $849,000 with 3,250 LSF and the lowest is $219,900 with 1,286 LSF.

Sales for LPGA:
