Recently I did a search for area google maps for local real estate companies and real estate agents.  I have found that in some cases that google maps can work against you!  Based on false reviews, incorrect telephone numbers and website addresses.

Do you check your google maps and reviews?

Here is what I found:

• Some agents need to update their web addresses.  Why would you have a google map and the website link is dead?
• Oops, you changed your telephone number or even your company and it still shows up as your old company.
• I see awful reviews as if it were to intentionally hurt a real estate company or particular person, you have to ask yourself is it spam or a false review?
• Spell check, will ya?

Located in Ormond Beach Florida is a splash park and playground.  The splash includes dumping buckets, a spash tunnel and water cannons.    A very quaint, small and fenced in park perfect for playgroups or just trying to cool off from the Florida heat. 

The Ormond Beach Splash park is open from noon to dusk and open seven days a week but don't worry no water will be wasted as the water is on a timer helping the community to conserve water. 

City Commissioner Troy Kent that park would be a worthwhile addition to the city of Ormond Beach.  A great place in Ormond Beach to have a party or a picnic! 

There is a big difference between a real estate agent and a REALTOR.  A real estate agent is licensed through the State and can practice real estate as long as they are affiliated with a real estate company.

Real estate agents who are not a REALTOR will not have access to the multiple listing service, will not have keys to open locks to show your home. 

In most cases it will limit showings and exposure to get your home sold.  Not only am I a real estate agent I have chosen to be a REALTOR.

So what is a REALTOR?  A REALTOR is a real estate agent who has taken additional training and steps to become a REALTOR.  I have  joined one of the largest organizations in the country, the organization would be the National Assocation of REALTORS. 

Although not a requirement if you are practicing real estate and would rather be a REALTOR than just a real estate agent, we know we must become a member of NAR.  There are several advantages with working with a REALTOR.

• REALTORS must join their local board.  I am a proud member of the Daytona Beach Area Association.

• REALTORS must join their state board.  I am a proud member of the Florida Assocation of REALTORS

• Must become a member of the National Association of REALTORS

• Have access to all mls listings available on the market

• Access to use the mls to market listings to fellow REALTORS

• We offer protection by using documents that are approved by the Florida Association of REALTORS and these documents are approved by attornies too.

• We take additional training 

  

• We take an oath to abide by The REALTOR CODE of Ethics.

As you can see there are many advantages of working with a REALTOR vs. just a real estate agent. More training, more accountability and access to all mls listings on the market today.

While I am a real estate agent I am also proud to call myself a REALTOR.

Daytona Beach is known as "The World's Most Famous Beach!"  Where else can drive directly on the sand and park your vehicle for a little fun and sun!

During the summer our beaches get packed with people picnicking or playing sports. 

Our beaches are active and caution must be taken because Daytona Beach allows parking right on the sand. 

Here are just a few safety rules you should follow to get the most out of The World's Most Famous Beach!

• Because it is not uncommon for people to walk on the beach, there is a speedlimit you must follow.  In order to appreciate the beauty and site seeing it is helpful to follow the speed limit on the beach.  10 mph

• Because we share this beach with plant life and marine life its important to park in designated areas as well as leave the natural habitat alone unless of course you are fishing.

• There clearly is a path where cars drive so make sure and do not sunbath in their path.

• One thing is certain there is a time frame in which you can drive on the beach, no night driving leave that to the beach patrol and other emergency vehicles as well as the city.

• No pets or acholic beverages on the beach.  Don't worry plenty of places to get yourself a cold one and cool off!

• You can grill but just clean up after yourself so the next person who wants to enjoy the beach will have the opportunity.

• In Daytona Beach you can surf and jet ski be smart and utilize the designated areas.

• Fair warning if you drive your car on the beach, make sure you leave before the tide comes in and don't let yourself get stuck in the sand. 

• One last thing, bring sunscreen, plenty of water when playing in the sun and water it sure doesn't feel as hot but the damage that can happen with sun poisoning and sunstroke can put a damper on the day! 

If you have never been to the World's Most Famous Beach, all that I have to say to you is check it out and visit you will see why so many love living and playing in Daytona Beach!

Although I haven't posted in sometime I did receive a lead a few weeks ago and it got me thinking.  I need to post and utilize this source to generate additional business and make more contacts.

I consider myself to be very fortunate to have a very skilled real estate trainer at my finger tips.  Midori Miller is Daytona Beach, Florida's top real estate trainer and she works for my company CENTURY21 Sundance Realty. 

We all have the opportunity to learn and some of us take advantage of it and some of us feel we are to busy.  Well, when Midori came to our office almost 4 years I was very busy, the top dog of our company for many years in a row and had no time for one on one training.  I am an REALTOR who prides herself in continued education and I did not take advantage of this one on one training until recently.

I can honestly say, "Thanks to Midori I am in front of the eight ball with Web 2.0".  Yes, for the last two years Midori has been very politely tell me to blog, blog and do more blogging.  Well I haven't quite mastered that but I can say that I'am putting forth a honest effort. 

Month after month she would give me projects to do such as joining social networks such as Active Rain, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc..  At first I felt like a fish out of water and even to this day sometimes I feel like she is speaking to me in a foreign language.

For the last two days I have been in a REO certification class with Paradigm Default System.  The content of the course was everything I already knew but now I have credibility to my knowledge. 

The last part of the class was on Web 2.0. Let me tell you, I knew everything they were teaching the class and I owe all that to Midori, because she helped me become knowledgeable in an area that I didn't think I really understood

So I guess the message here is take advantage of the training that might be right under your nose and don't take it for granted.  As we all know it doesn't always last not everything is forever.

In this real estate market we are hearing about a lot of horrible things going on such as mortgage fraud, the collapsing of IndyMac, and Freddie and Fannie Mac's issues.

I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like our country's homeownership is in such perils that the American dream might slip away and not be for everyone. With all of the negative press around us I really try hard not to bury my head in the sand (however, some days it's a really good idea) but I try to find positive influences to keep me smiling.

We all want our business to pick up to a degree its keeps us on our toes. Not that those of us that are in this marketplace as a career are not busy because we have started re-engineering ourselves and gone back to some basics we forgot about when we were really crazy busy.

I immediately went to Google and entered the name Dr. Kareem Daouda and lots of information came up referencing a "SCAM". What tipped me off about this email? Simply, look at the telephone number then read the body. Oh yea, I can call him overseas to so he can get to know me better. Not to long ago I read an guide in eBay from a seller trying to sell their home and how they got involved in a check scam from Nigeria.

I know we all want more business but do you really want this kind of business?
