Celebrate Freedom, an all day Christian music festival sponsored by KLTY 94.9 is held on the grounds of Southfork Ranch. The annual event is in honor of our country's freedom. It is also a worship & praise tribute to the One God under whom our nation stands. I was there for only a short period of time this year but it is always an amazing experience to worship our Almighty God with such a multitude of people.

This is Kirby. He is my grand-dog. I have been house-sitting with Kirby since last Thursday. He misses his family especially the little rug rats.

Just the mention of them coming home soon perks ups his ears!
 

Dogs are so unconditional in giving their love and attention; they offer it freely just from the sound of your voice no matter what you might be saying to them.

Well, if you are a resident of Murphy and live in the Gables or the Ranch neighborhoods you came to the community neighborhood pool for the annual Splash Day ~ families keeping cool in the pool. The City of Murphy TX continues to be a desirable community for families moving into the local Plano area or looking to get further away from the congestion of the big city but not so far from all the advantages. It ranks within the top 10 communities of Dallas.
During the month of May 17 single family residences SOLD.

School's Out for the Summer!
 
and all of the local neighborhood pools were brimming with activity.
 
Today was the last day of school for Plano Independent School District. Wylie Independent School District released last Thursday, June 2nd. Most of the neighborhoods in the Murphy area are feed into Plano ISD.
 
Some children were being treated extra special today with a delivery of pizza directly to the pool. Overall, it was a Marvelous Monday.

Texas LakesIf you were to google how many lakes are in Texas Answers.com would tell you there are 6.736. Not sure where that number came from but I do know there are a lot of lakes in Texas. I would suggest that the answer could vary based on one’s idea of a lake more so than the actual definition itself.In a recent article I was reading in D Magazine they stated there was 170 lakes in Texas.
