That all important day - the closing! These sellers had to sell their home twice. First buyer opted out of the contract when financing didn't come through for them. It wasn't long though and the house was back under contract with a second buyer who was able to close. Throughout the process Mike & Jan were good business partners and in return they offered their friendship as well. But don't let me tell the whole story, see what they have to say. Murphy Home Sales Bringing in the Buyers In the past week alone 14 homes in the city of Murphy went under contract including the one pictured to the left. Currently there are 27 homes under contract with 6 homes S-O-L-D since March 1, 2012. During the entire month of February there were only 12 homes S-O-L-D.
With numbers popping up like these the forecast for Murphy home sales Spring 2012 is looking bright and good news for Murphy home sellers and its residents.

Murphy TX Real Estate Market Report for October 2011October home sales in Murphy TX continue to climb up! There were 26 homes sold with a median sales price of $285,089. Last year during the month of October 18 homes sold with a median sales price of $276,503. The average days on market during 2011 was 83 days and in 2010 114 days. A look at the statistics shows that 29 homes were sold during the month of August 2011. The average overall sales price was $281,698 and an impressive 74 days on the market average for homes sold.

Summer started off with temps in the upper 90's for the month of June but the record heat of 100+ days began with July on the 2nd of the month. It continued throughout the entire month well into August. And home sales in the City of Murphy TX suffered a drop during July in the local market.
For the month of July 22 single family residences SOLD which reflects a decrease of 21% from last month and no change over last year's sales in July. The top selling neighborhoods were The Timbers, Maxwell Creek and Daniel Crossing / Rolling Ridge Estates tying for 3rd.

The group was formed from the vision of one Realtor who saw a need and took the initiative to get it started. As of the first of March three additional homes have been placed on the market for sale in Murphy, Texas. List prices for these new listings range from $195,000 to $279,000. Two of the three homes have four bedrooms and one home has five bedrooms.
