There's more overflowing than this elephant's tub in Texas! After all the abundance of rain in the Collin County local area since the beginning of 2015 Lake Lavon is overflowing! The lake ended 2014 with a water level of less than 50% full. As reported today the lake is 1.25 feet above the full pool of 492 feet.
Praise the Lord! For He is good.

Texas LakesIf you were to google how many lakes are in Texas Answers.com would tell you there are 6.736. Not sure where that number came from but I do know there are a lot of lakes in Texas. I would suggest that the answer could vary based on one’s idea of a lake more so than the actual definition itself.In a recent article I was reading in D Magazine they stated there was 170 lakes in Texas.
