We are defiantly in a buyers market today, that being said do you think there is a minimum amount of times we should reduce the price of a listing??? Is there an stadard or should there be?
How about the amount........I see some agents drop as little as 1,000 or 2,000, all that does is bring it up on the hot list for 3 days. I don't believe that will sell a home.
I am all for TRYING to price it right the first time, I also know some sellers just don't get the fact we have to price at least 10% under market in this SHIFT. Sometime we miss the mark and price to high, I'm guilty of that myself.
I wonder if we could all as Realtors get on the same page, be rigorously honest with the clients,let them know the truth and not buy the listing. (Not over price it to get it) I wonder trying to price it right the first time would possibly get the market moving a bit faster.

I have not logged onto AR for many many months.......I'm not sure why either. I really like reading others blogs and doing a little blogging myself. First I was obsessed and became and AR junkie, then I just stopped.
I joined a networking website called facebook. http://www.facebook.com/site I really like it and have been working on building up some networking there. I was lucky enough to have someone on my friends list recently tell me to get back to AR. He said that has been paying dividends for him, sooooooo thank you Bill Kennedy for pointing me back to AR.

Well its been about 3 weeks since I joined a team and its been a great transition so far. He is a Huge listing agent, has many buyers agents and an amazing office manager holding the team together. We even have our own mortgage company so we can offer some wonderful bonus and discounts for our clients.
The best part of this is he has always been the listing agent (by himself) when I was added to the team my assumption was I will be a buyers agent too.........Well that is not the case, he is having me do listing with him. I am learning from a mega listing agent......... WOW, what a break.
My first year (last year) was great, I caped and was going strong. Then it just died for me. I was at the point where I did not know if I was going to be able to continue in Real Estate. In fact the last contract I wrote was in May and it closed in August. YIKES! It put me in such a slump I did not think I would pull out of it, but I did and so far it looks like joining a team was the right thing for me to do.
I'm just very grateful I get to continue doing work that I enjoy and still have the freedom I have always craved. I hope that I am blessed to do this for many days to come.
