VERMONT HOME OWNERS - Be Sure to File Your Homestead Declaration and Property Tax Adjustment Claim by April 15, 2010
Every Resident who owns and occupies a Vermont Homestead as of April 1, 2010 must file Form HS-122 to qualify for the homestead property tax rate.  This must be done annually or the property will revert to non-homestead property tax rates. Non-homestead tax rates tend to be a bit higher and are dependent on the town in which your property is located.
