30 Fabulous Freebies - 08/26/08 07:14 PM
I recently read an article on Yahoo, by Kipplinger.com, showing 30 Fabulous Freebies for 2008. I have provided some of my favorites for Realtors, but click here to read the entire article and see all 30. There are many that you can use in your everyday lives. For those times when you are driving in your car, and you need the phone number for a residential or business listing, you can dial 1-800-FREE-411. This will save you the normal expense of dialing directory assistance. The holiday season is just around the corner, and I know many Realtors like to ship things to their past clients (65 comments)
Maricopa County and East Valley Arizona Excellent Buyers Market! - 08/26/08 05:57 PM
There have been several reports recently in the newspaper depicting the economic downturn and the housing slump. One thing I was always taught was to buy when others were selling and to sell when others are buying. In Maricopa County, Arizona, now is the time to buy real estate! Recent studies have shown that the number of foreclosures for the first six months of 2008 are at 16,647 compared to 2,916 in 2007. Phoenix had the highest number of foreclosures at 5,872, and Queen Creek had the second highest percentage increase in foreclosure notices throughout all of Maricopa County. Both Fannie and Freddie buy mortgages from banks. The mortgages they are buying are the ones the banks provide homeowners to purchase their homes. By buying these mortgages from the banks, the banks have more cash to make more home loans and take on more debt. Fannie and Freddie then bundle the loans they have purchased from the banks and sell them off to investors as what are called mortgage-backed securities. The mortgage-backed securities pay (6 comments)
Kyrene School District, still one of best in Arizona - 08/03/08 03:35 PM
School starts this Monday, August 4th, for those of us that are within the Kyrene School District. Once again, this school district is receiving rave reviews for it's highly regarded educational reputation, parent involvement, support programs, and impressive technology. Kyrene's commitment for using technology to maximize student achievement was rewarded in 2006 when the district was chosen as one of three nationwide to receive the prestigious Award for Innovative Technology by the National School Boards Association. The Kyrene School District developed a comprehensive web-based system for administrators to collect student demographic and assessment data, generate reports on student performance on district (3 comments)
