As in many other north and east Twin Cities metro communities, Lino Lakes has had a slight drop in the amount of closed sales in 2017. This is usually due to a lack of housing inventory as there has been a noticeable shortage of homes for sale across the Minneapolis/St Paul metro. However in Lino Lakes, new listings were up rather than down this past year. This anomaly is most likely attributed to the significant amount of new construction in this eastern Anoka County community.

After the dramatic rebound of sales from 2008 to 2009, the number of closed sales leveled off and dropped a bit Lino Lakes, Minnesota in 2010. While 6% is not a dramatic change, it is still down a bit but new listings are down about the same amount so the market appears to be leveling off in this eastern Anoka County community. Even as the home buyer tax credit expired, the price point of homes only went up a fraction of a percent. After an over 25% decline in homes sold in 2008 in the Lino Lakes area, there was a similar resurgence of buyers in 2009.
