Mesa, Arizona Latter-day Saint Temple - Special Easter Pageant - 02/28/08 05:14 PM
For those of you visiting for the winter, or already living in and around Mesa, the Mesa, Arizona Temple and its grounds are spectacular. Take a leisurely walk in the middle of a busy city, with green, green grass, tall palm trees swaying in the wind, freshly planted allysm, petunias in the beautiful planters.  As we were strolling on the grounds, there were many coming and going and smiling and enjoying our beautiful weather. The grounds bring such a sense of peace and serenity that you can't help but feel that it is a special place.
I've attached a Real Estate … (14 comments)

Florence Junction - east of Gold Canyon where the 60 and the road that heads to Globe or South to Florence will be right in the middle of this huge new urban area.

This is a notice sent by the Department of Real Estate today:

No complaints have been filed regarding Randall Martin Homes; however, we believe that it is important to alert Consumers and Industry of the company's intentions. ADRE is … (12 comments)

Queen Creek, Arizona Gated and Golf Community - Private Golf Course - New Homes! - 02/22/08 03:14 PM
For retirees, second home buyers, empty nesters, or just down-sizing, and anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful, rural community away from the hustle and bustle of the city, check out this home. This is just one of several floorplans being offered, but suffice it to say, this home is spectacular.
As of March 2008, there were golf lots still available in the first release, there is an 18 hole private golf course all ready to go, a 42,000 square foot community center, tennis courts, swimming pools, guard-gated and more. This community fills a "niche" market and has many amenities that will please the homeowners.

Brand New!! Gated, Golf and Country Club Community - Queen Creek, Arizona - 02/21/08 07:42 PM
I toured a beautiful, brand new community yesterday in Queen Creek, Arizona. Queen Creek is very rural and located approximately 50 miles south and east of downtown Phoenix and about 10 miles south and east of Mesa, Arizona.
This community is unlike any other in our area, thus the reason for my visit. A beautiful 18-hole "grassed" golf course with numerous lakes, mountain views, and wide open spaces. The golf course is spectacularly groomed, and there are many lots adjacent to the fairways ready to be sold. The golf course lots run upwards of $120,000, and you can get into a … (3 comments)

Tips for Buyers! Be Sure to do a follow-up Home Inspection! - 02/13/08 04:10 PM
When working with a buyer, I strongly encourage them to get a home inspection! I provide several names of individuals or companies that are ASHI certified, and the buyer chooses from there. Most of the companies will also do a termite inspection at the same time for a small additional charge. Home inspection prices are based on the square footage of the home, whether it has a pool, age, etc.
For those buyers who choose to have a home inspection done, I recommend they arrange for the inspector to re-inspect the home after the repairs have been made.  On more than one occasion, when … (7 comments)

A Nice Hot Loaf of Homemade Bread! - 02/12/08 08:37 PM
I've been getting in touch with my homemaker side and sometime in January, I decided to begin baking bread again. There was a time when raising my children that I made it for an entire year. Did not buy one loaf of bread. Though I've continued from time to time to bake white bread and rolls during the holidays, I've decided that we need to eat healthier. I LOVE bread, but not the store-bought kind.
Since we store wheat, I decided to break in our wheat grinder, (as yet still in the original box) grind enough for one batch, and I proceeded … (26 comments)

Our trip to Newport, Rhode Island - Part II - 02/10/08 04:33 PM
I shared our trip to Manhattan already, and am now putting together another album of Newport, Rhode Island.  I promised I would post photos of our trip, but since I took over 400, I've had to break these down into bite-sized pieces.
After leaving Manhattan, the ship sailed directly to Newport, Rhode Island. Since I've grown up in the west, this was an amazing trip. We were completely blown away by the beauty of the east. When we landed in Newport, I loved the colored houses, the red roofs, the little town, and the Newport Mansions. I was particularly interested to learn that … (17 comments)

Arizona Renaissance Festival - Showtime in Gold Canyon East! - 02/09/08 06:13 PM
It is an absolutely beautiful morning with highs promised to be in the mid-70's. I need to get out of the house, get my Vitamin D rays, and go for a ride. Since we had never been to the Renaissance Festival and Artisan Marketplace, and it's only about 12 miles east of where we live, we head out to see what we have been missing. Today is the first day of eight weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. including President's Day. The last day of the Festival is on the 30th of March.

A Tour of Queen Creek, Arizona in Pinal County! Lots to Do: Golf and Motocross Racing! - 02/08/08 10:23 PM
I am the mother of a son and a daughter who loved offroad sports! As they were growing up, we would load up our bikes (yes, it's true), and off we would go to the desert to ride our offroad toys. We had bikes, ATC's, go-cart type toys, and tents. My children would have so much fun even if it was just the family. Other times we would take off with a group of other families and stay in motorhomes, etc. for three or four days and just ride, ride, ride.
As I drive to Queen Creek along Ironwood, I remember … (9 comments)

What Is the BIG DEAL About Google, Real Estate Shows, Active Rain and Localism Posts? - 02/06/08 01:18 PM
I was thinking about an interesting "link" between Google, Real Estate Shows, Active Rain and Localism this morning. I am absolutely blown away about the power of the last three when it comes to Google Juice.
At the suggestion of one of the many bloggers on the Rain, I signed up for Google Alerts for several terms.
So that all of you who stop by can actually "see" what came up, I am including several of the links.  One of my localism posts from last summer showed up on January 26!!! All but one of these posts have shown up in the last month. … (22 comments)

Have you Noticed? So many interesting technology tools and people on the Rain! - 02/05/08 01:43 PM
As I visit various blog posts, I can't help but notice the interesting information either shared, or listed on the right side:
Widgets, bloglog communities, technorati, LinkedIn, Truila, Ning, Flickr, postlets, Snapshots, Meez, Slideshows, Photobucket, 411.com, RedKid.net, ImageChef, Ziki, etc.! Then there are the longtail words!  Is there anything I missed?
I have to admit that I've been curious on many occasions, visited the widget, or whatever, and decided: "yeah, that's for me."  So I signed up. Now, I have each of the above either on my blog or I've signed up. I still haven't figured out all of the ins and outs, … (31 comments)

Is Active Rain Slowwwwwwwwwwwww or What? - 02/01/08 09:32 PM
Just a short post to find out if I'm the only one having this problem........I can't seem to "get to" the blogs to post a comment, and just moving around has been insanely slow this afternoon and evening. Perhaps someone else has already written a post, but I don't have the patience to find them.
I see right now there are 2143 online; however, earlier when I tried, there were only 800. Is there a problem that anyone knows about? Or, is it on my end?
A beautiful clear day it is in Arizona. No snow, but a bit cold. Everyone … (26 comments)
