homes: First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit - 08/15/08 04:29 PM
First time home buyers can  now receive at tax break of $7,500 if they purchased a home on or after April 9, 2008 and before July 1, 2009.
With the recent decision by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, better known as HUD,  to take away Down Payment Assistance Programs that were helping first time home buyers buy a home by gifting them a down payment, this new tax credit should be extremely encouraging to those who were relying on these programs to get into  a new home.
What is this new program and how does it work?

homes: Sometimes You've Got To Go Home To Find Yourself - 07/25/08 07:13 AM
~A Place of Your Own~
Your home is your castle, as the old saying goes. A home is a place to call your own. Perhaps you are ready to settle down and want the feeling of permanence and involvement that comes with owning your own home. Perhaps you need more living space. homes: Comparative Marktet Analysis (CMA) - 06/16/08 02:39 AM
The first time I heard the term CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) I had no idea what it meant and why it was important. As a home buyer or seller, whether it is your first purchase or second or third, you should ask your agent to have a CMA on your home or the one you want to buy.
 What is a CMA?
It is a comparative market analysis. In other words, it is an "opinion" of the value of a property. Basically, your agent  generates information about the properties in your neighborhood and compares them to your home.
What will a CMA … (3 comments)

homes: Where to go for Foreclosure Information & Help - 04/30/08 09:12 AM
Owing more money on a property than it is worth and not being able to make the mortgage payments is a terrible and frightening position to be in. The first step you can do if you are in a situation that you can no longer make your mortgage payment is to contact your lender's loss mitigation department. … (2 comments)
