LimeBikes are dockless bikes and are now parked throughout Reno and Sparks. They self-park with a kickstand and locking wheel. Riders rent the bike and ride anywhere. Bikes can be left in any bike-friendly location, the app on your smartphone will help you find a location for dropoff and pickup!

Northern Nevada's annual Christmas Tree Recycling program, sponsored by Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), has been recycling trees since 2003. Nearly 130,000 trees have been recycled through this program with the help of many volunteers and local sponsors.

Wild Island Family Adventure Park is hosting a job fair later this week for seasonal and entry level positions.
The job fair is scheduled Saturday from 10am-4pm at the Wild Island Waterpark and Sunday from 4pm to 8pm at the Mini Golf and Go-Kart Building, both located at 250 Wild Island Circle in Sparks, NV. There is plenty of parking for both areas.

The Washoe County School District, in collaboration with Northern Nevada's Hamilton Solar Company, recently installed a collective 1.5 megawatt solar power system at Reed High School and North Valleys High School. The system is designed as covered parking car ports for student parking at each high school. The estimated cost for the Reed project was $7 million.
With no "Out-of-pocket" expenditures for the School District, the solar installation was entirely funded by rebates through NV Energ's Generation Program. The savings in electric costs from the two systems is estimated at $270,000 annually. The savings will go into the Washoe County … (4 comments)

High school football will take center stage on Saturday as the North battles the South for the 4A high school football championship. The Reed Raiders will face Bishop Gorman on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 12:15 p.m. at Damonte Ranch High School.
The Reed Raiders finished the football season at 12 -1 , a season record for this Sparks, Nevada High School. A student put together the following video to pay tribute to this successful high school football team.
