punch list: What You Need to Know When Buying a New Builder Home - 12/29/06 09:17 PM
I get many clients that call me to sell their home that have bought directly from the builder.  In many of these situations I find that we are repairing, at our cost, minor code violations or sloppy workmanship from the builder.
There are quite a few things the buyer needs to know when working with a builder.
1)  Check the builders reputation carefully.  Don't rely on the fact that you go to church with them, or know them from soccer.  Talk to other people whose homes they built and find out about follow through.  Ask about punch list items, were they taken care … (4 comments)
