Texas A&M University was started in the late 1800's, and for those of you that aren't familiar with the source of the name, A&M stands for Agriculture and Mechanics. We have a rich tradition of putting out some of the finest farmers, genetic researchers, animal breeders, vetrinarians, and crop experts the world has ever seen. From the Mechanics, primarily engineers and architects. They have added the Lawry Mayes School of Business and it is quickly making a name for itself as well.
