Alright, alright already! Here you go Deb I am finally posting my MEME. Or you might say I am fashionable late, but better lat than never at all.

Question #1. Who is your favorite musical artist?

I do not believe I can honestly say I have one favorite artist, due to the fact that I listen to all genres of music and like them all.  All artist from Manu Chao to Puddlle of Mud. If you were to pin me down to my top three I could listen to anytime I could do that, so here they are;

My favorite male voice would have to be; Bruddah "IZ",  Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

My favorite female voice hands down is: the lead singer of the ,Cowboy Junkies, Margo Timmons

Of course my favorite all time songwriter/singer is, the uncomprable Willie Nelson

Question #2. Who is your favorite artist?

While I like many of the great artist my favroite is my son, George. For if we do not encourage the struggling artist there will be no future Picasso's of tomorrow.

George's artwork        dragons fury

Question #3: Who is my favorite blogger?

Even after tagging me with this silly meme thing Debra Brooks and of course Andrew Lenza, hopefully he will decide to come back.

4. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?

Now for a question on which I struggled to answer honestly or not, since I was asked to answer honestly I will. The person who I would like to meet with would be Adolph Hitler, just hold on a minute it is not to get his autograph or ask him how he did what he did. But my meeting would be to wipe his name out of the history books forever. Yes, I know my soul would be doomed to eternal darkness, but so be it.

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?

All I wanted was to be a grown-up and maybe even a Texas Ranger  Texas ranger

6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?

I know the average life span of a major league baseball is eight pitches.

7. If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why?

Some where around 1835 when life was hrder but much more simple. Besides that is when the texas Rangers were formed, who knows Maybe I could have been on the original group.

8.What is the most interesting job you have ever held?

I was the oragami towel folding master of a cruise ship ninja monkey

Just kdding, all of my jobs have been quite ordinary. I would have to say the one I just started this year as a real estate agent is pretty interesting.

Now as for tagging eight more people to do this well I will but I will just send them an email.

YUP, that's right here in the Houston area the rodeo is in full swing. It really is a something to see. The actual rodeo itself last for about three weeks, but the whole thing is over a month long from start to finish. So if you want to make it this year you have about a week left as it ends the 22nd of March. Do not worry though if you do not make it this year. Come on down next year. Here is a link to the official site

I will try and walk you through all of the major events in the order they occur. But first a little history, the actual rodeo started back in 1931 and was held downtown. Then about 1957 some people got together and decided to help promote the rodeo they would have trail ride before the rodeo. Now it is the precursor to the rodeo.

Once the tra il riders are all gathered in town at memorial park a parade is thrown the next day. After the parade we have what we call the cook off, a three day event of smoking different types of meats and partying. Now don't get me wrong there is some serious cooking going on so they can win the prize of World Champion.

Now we start with the livestock show and rodeo, oh by the way the world's largest. You know what they say about Texas everything is bigger and better. Okay, I may have added that last part about being better. Now of course with this we have to have a carnival for kids of all ages including myself. What ever you do, don't forget to bring your wallet because it is going to cost to play at the carnival.

The livestock portion is broken down into two parts the first part is for the professional breeders to show their stock and get some business. Then the second half it the kids turn. Here is where the kids bring their animals for judging. In the end there is an auction for all of the animals which helps raise money for scholarships for the kids. Did I mention that was the main goal of this rodeo, well shame on me for waiting so long to tell you.

While you are in the livestock show you can shop for everything from tractors to leather belts. They also have a art show of drawings and paintings from local high school kids that will simply amaze you at the talent of these kids. Another fact for you now is that this rodeo is put on by 19,000 volunteers!

If that is not enough they have music's top performers putting on a show after the rodeo each night. Oh did I mention we have a rodeo going on also. Now they have taken the astrodome and made it into honky tonk known as the hideout, where they have different performers putting on a show

What I am saying is come early, be prepared to stay late, eat lots of food, and get entertained.

While many of us get caught up in our day to day task, we forget to take time out and be grateful for all of the blessing which are in our everyday lives. I too fall in this category, but today received an email, about our troops, which reminded me to be stop and enjoy the family and friends which make my life so blessed. I also wanted to pay some respect to those who have served or are serving our country.

                               The Military Oath

"I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support
and defend the Constitution of the United States
against all enemies foreign or domestic,
and I will bare true faith and allegiance to the same.
I will obey the orders of the President of the United States
and the officers appointed over me according to the regulations
and the Uniform Code of Military Justice...
So Help Me God."

THE PRICE OF FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

If you think about it we all have a family member or know someone who has served or is serving this great country of ours. Regardless of your opinions on war or U.S. foreign policy, I hope you take some time to show YOUR troops that you support them. Next time you see some one who has served our country, stop and shake their hand, simply tell them THANKS! While it is something very simple, you never know how much it means to the person receiving the Thanks.

Take a moment and listen to this SONG FROM A SOLDIER IN IRAQ!

I know what your saying to yourself, how can that be Brooks Prime Properties has not been in business

for a 129 years, and you do not have reporters clamoring around your doorstep.

Well I would have to agree with you and say we have not been in business that long, but they plan on being in business that long.

As to the second thing about not having reporters beating our door down, I would just say give it awhile with all the publicity produced from

Active rain it is just a matter of time.

Okay, okay maybe were not the best in Texas, but we are in Texas and we certainly are a smaller company.

However, I can say it is the best Real Estate office I have ever worked at, with the key phrase here being, ever worked at, since this is the only one I

have worked for in my life. Yes, that is right I am new to real estate and Active rain. However, we have a staff that is second to none. To start out our

office manager should be selling property because she is that good. Then you have the rest of the agents who work at helping each other out any time

they see you need the help. If you do not believe it then the next time you are out tooling around Lake Livingston or in Huntsville Texas just stop on

by, sit a spell and relax while you make new friends at The Best little Real Estate Office in Texas....Brooks Prime Properties!

Once you're here you may never want to leave.
