My wife and I were at a doctor's appointment and her Mother (NeNe, who is in her 60s) and my wife's brother (Uncle who is almost 20) were watching our kids. 
The following conversation took place and only the names have been omitted to protect the innocent, zinged and embarrassed.

Uncle: Do you know how old I will be on my next birthday?
My Youngest (8 yrs old): hmmmmmmm.......You will be 20
Uncle: Right!
Youngest: Wow, you are OLD!
NeNe: Hahahahahahahahhaa
Youngest: What are you laughing at? You're like 80!

Ken Akira/Chan Lee Scam: How It Works - 08/22/11 09:20 AM
 
I have had several questions about how this works, so here is my explanation:
 
They use a cashier’s check or money order that is bogus (either on a real bank but a fake account or a real bank and a real account, but not an account they own. This allows the local bank to verify the bank and account number and it is only when the account holder protests that the problem arises.).

Chan Lee replaces Ken Akira - 08/18/11 09:14 AM
Just a quick notification to all agents. The Ken Akira scam has been replaced with Chan Lee. The email is exactly the same as the Ken Akira scam, except for the name is now Chan Lee.
The scam artist can't even get their name right. It is Chan Lee in the body, but signed Chung Lee.
This "lead" was sent to every agent in my office, but I get a copy of all leads, so I was able to warn my associates.

Last week in my youngest son's Sunday school class his teachers are showing off pictures of their first grandchild. The picture is of mom and dad holding the baby. The grandparents asked this question: Who Does the Baby Look Like?
You get the usual responses:  The Mom The Dad I see both Doesn't matter, just cute Not my kid! (He takes after me!) My 8 year old: I think he looks like his grandfather! Beaming Grandfather: Why do you say that? My 8 year old: Because neither one of you has hair!

118 Degrees: Cooler than Yesterday - 08/04/11 03:55 PM
We have had some cloud cover today so the temperature is reading about 3 degrees cooler.

Went to do a BPO early this morning and I had to turn the AC off, since it was only 85 degrees outside. I Thought I was going to freeze to death with the AC cooling the truck to 70 degrees.
It is like opening an oven door every time you step outside.
