Buyer and Realtor Safety in the Snow - 12/31/11 04:30 PM
Buyer and Realtor Safety in the Snow With all the recent snow, it is a great time to look over how to make safety a priority for Realtors and buyers alike. When planning to take your buyer out, consider the weather and area carefully. Realtors should ask: What route will I take? Am I heading into an area that is tricky to navigate? Will there be parking nearby? Am I heading into the mountains? Do I want to travel after it gets dark? This shows a buyer that Realtors are concerned for their safety. Realtors need to make sure insurance, tags, (7 comments)

Buy Local in Golden - 12/26/11 11:27 AM
Golden Buy Local Buying Local is not just a movement; it is a necessity! The economy in so many American towns is dominated by staple conveniences. The argument is that they provide goods that cost less. In the long run they actually cost more. To keep a healthy economy we need to make sure we fix our selves first. Start at our door step. When the economy took a downturn Wal-Mart grew at the cost of diversified local businesses. Everyone has heard the reasons to buy local before, but here is a more in-depth look: 1. Jeans not Slacks - 12/23/11 10:44 AM
I hate dress clothes and the first critical feedback I got from my managing broker was “Please wear dress slacks around the office.” My answer is NO. When I market to my clients, I use beer coasters not business cards, I wear jeans not slacks, and I am a self proclaimed Geek who loves things like Star Wars, Battle Star Galactica, and Harry Potter. Maybe it’s a generation thing, but when I see a suit and tie, or even dress slacks, I think “That guy must be a dishonest sleaze ball.” Sorry to say, this is my association with dress clothes. You can recruit…. Or you can help. - 12/22/11 05:12 PM
It is one thing to make 100 phone calls. It is better to make 10 great friends! I have heard so many agents complain about their brokerage. They say their brokerage takes too much of their commission. I have also had many people call me with the ploy “Why don’t you come over to company XYZ! The rates are lower, we have better technology, and everyone is treated like a King and will be fed grapes by little satyrs. With bells on…” Ok, so the last part is a little crazy. But this is what you have to listen to as (3 comments)
