If anyone you know is shopping for house rentals on Craigslist, please make sure they know about a scam that apparently has been going on for a while.
It was brought to my attention by an agent in my office whose client had called on a house advertised on Craigslist as available for rent at $2,200 a month.  The client offered $2,000, to which the listing agent replied that the owner would not accept that.

Seattle Area Housing Stats for June 2009 - 07/21/09 01:19 PM

Residential and condominium housing market numbers for June 2009 show a 22% and 9% decrease in the number of listings, respectively, from June 2008.  Median closed sales prices dropped by 15% for houses and 9% for condos over the same time period.

Note: Remember that homes closing in June probably went off market in April or May, and therefore reflect conditions during those months.
