Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain;for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

     Those of you who have come to know me through my blogs know by now that i like to quote scripture as it relates to our everyday life.      As Christian I think we are called to spiritual warfare everyday. Unless you live in a cave it should be obvious the demons that are society sends against us each and every day. Fortunatately as it does for everything else the bible has something to say about what is expected of us.

 Integrity is a word we here thrown around quite often. I use it in my own advertising, and I have always tried to live with integrity. But what does it reaaly mean.
 In the Bible Job had integrity. Satan tried to throw him off his integrity, he used Job's wife and his friends, but Job would rather die than compromise the integrity of his heart.
So what does God say about integrity.
PSALMS 25:21
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for  I wait for you.
When we are in it for the long run integrity will preserve us during the tough times.

1. Believe in the Lord for your needs.
2. Communicate with the Lord through prayer.
3.Build your relationship with the Lord by spending time in his word.
4. As your relationship is strengthened your grow to trust  Him .
5. As your trust in the Lord is strengthened your faith grows stronger.
6. As your faith grows stronger you enter into the Lords rest.
7. Your now close relationship with the Lord pleases Him.
8 The Lord will help you to succeed in His plans for you.
9. When you are called home you will enter into the Lords eternal rest.

     I thought that I had spent enough time on the computer today. I wrote a four page paper on Martin Luther for school. scaned the MLS, and spent some time on active rain. Thought I would watch a little television. Turned on  Fox News  and all the shows are talking about OJ.   Same for CNN. I don't watch news on the big three anymore but I assume they will be on OJ also.

 I had one of those days today . Very little sleep because of my knee acting up made me a little cranky. Ive been on another rant about how I wish all laywers would just dissappear, and my daughters boyfriend(Future husband and father of my grandson) lost another job. And it dawned on me how easy it is to make excuses when we find ourselves in less than christianlike moods.  Well 9/11 has come and gone, and I,m it passed safely. But there are still terrorists around the world plotting all kinds of murder and mayhem. We still have troops all over the middle east who are in harms way on a daily basis, and the airwaves are full of rhetoric.
     We are still over a year away from the presidential election and the nastiness is in full force.If name calling and nasty cartoons and loudmouth obnoxious pundits accomplished anything the world would be utopia. But obviously its not.

BEING A CHRISTIAN IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA - 09/12/07 09:44 PM
 We live in a country with unparalleled religious freedom. I attend prayer breakfasts in a public diner every saturday, hand bibles to people whenever the mood strikes me(not nearly enough) am free to attend my church services. We can advertise bible lessons, prayers meetings and any number of other church functions without fear. We have it very easy  in America,yet our country in in a Moral downward spiral and what do we do about it.

 For those of you who have been following and comenting on my blogs(greatly appreciated) I would like to update. This week I recieved my first 5 classes for Bible College, and now that I am past the initial feelings of being overwhelmed I am sure I made the right decision.
