THE ONLY SPIRIT THAT COUNTS - 10/31/07 10:07 PM
Since i became born again halloween has taken on new meaning to me. And I don,t mean in a good way. So instead of staying home and helping hand out candy I did what I do every wednesday night I went to prayer meeting. I know that to most people especially the young children Halloween has no more meaning than seeing cute kids and giving them candy and they are adorable until they are teenagers dresiing in outfits more appropriate for , well I,ll just leave that alone.
Anyway I don,t want to ruin childrens fun but for myself I … (13 comments)

THANK YOU MY LORD - 10/30/07 09:59 PM
I have much to be thankful for today.I started out at the dentist my gums and teeth are so bad that my estate will be paying off my dental bills long after I,m with my maker, but today  pain after the novacain wore off. Good start. Yhen I was meeting a Gideon brother and also like a christian big brother to me , in order to bring bibles to the area hotels and motels. Then entire four hours were a blessing, we had some serious fellowship and everywhere we went it was like we were sharing the same mind, it would have … (14 comments)

2 TIMOTHY MOTIVATION FOR MINISTRY - 10/29/07 07:16 PM
I feel I am being called to enter into the Ministry of Gods word. That is why I am a Gideon and that is why at the tender young age of 46 I am in the very beginnings of Bible College. Its not like I never got strange looks from people before, but never for such a good reason. When people tell me they don,t believe it I say at times neither do I but who am I to argue with the Lord. I used to think when people talked about their Love for the Lord they weren,t wired right, now … (8 comments)

NO FEAR OF DEATH BUT PLEASE PRAY FOR HIS FAMILY - 10/27/07 09:14 PM
Today I spent about 11 hours at my church cooking for missions conference dinner. We only had about 200 people, we were ready for 250 but it was fine. The leftovers go to a homeless shelter. Although it was a blessing working side by side with my Christian brothers ANd sisters all day, and the teenagers who served were  fantasticit became of secondary importance to me because of something else that happened.
One of my friends from the church who usually helps me cook stopped by to say hello. I knew he couldn,t help because it was his wifes birthday. Now … (19 comments)

WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT - 10/26/07 07:06 PM
Been feeling a little discouraged today, but like everything else that ails me, I knew I could find help in scripture. So I came upon 2 Corinthians, the title is 2 Corinthians 5:7 bit there are many words of encouragement in both chapter 4 and cahpter 5.
2 CORINTHIANS 4 17,18
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the … (17 comments)

PRACTICING WHAT I PREACH - 10/25/07 06:08 PM
In my book there is no bigger an abomination than a hypocrite, its what drove me away from my original beliefs years ago.For those of you that read my posts you know that since i became Born again in Christ Jesus I have become a bit of an evangelist. I am also enrolled in bible college so that if its the Lords will i can eventually go into the ministry full time.
Nothing pains my heart more than when i find myself falling to a sin or an attitude that I have already spoken or written against.Just as Paul talks about … (16 comments)

STEPPING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE - 10/25/07 08:49 AM
Our church is having missions conference this week. Our church sponsors 42 different misionaries and there families around the world, so once a year we invite some of them to come and share with us how God is using them to make a difference in the world. Last evening I was able to attend the first few presentations, the big night is saturday but i am cooking for the dinner for 250 guests so I don,t know how many presentations i will get to see. But I can already see a theme rising to the top, "Stepping out of your … (9 comments)

NUMBERS 6:24-26 THE LORDS BLESSING TO HIS PEOPLE - 10/23/07 07:10 PM
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord may his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace
These are the words that the Lord gave to Moses to give to Aaron to bless the Israelites, reading these words just gives me goosebumps. Could we rerally ask for anything more? For the Lord to bless and kkep me, shine his face upon me and give me peace. I think thats what heaven will be like, I think this is the feeling I will have if I ever do get to here … (10 comments)

1 TIMOTHY 2:VV3,4,5,6 - 10/22/07 10:08 PM
This is good, and pleases God our savior
who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus
who gave himself as a ransom for all men- the testimony given in its proper time.
In its entire context 1 Timohty chapter 2 is extolling the importance of prayer in the daily life of a believer. I don,t think it is possible to pray to much, because when we our praying our focus is on God. When our focus is on God it can not … (6 comments)

REPUBLICAN DEBATE - 10/21/07 09:53 PM
I don,t have time for one of my normal blogs tonight, mainly because I just spent the last couple of hours watching the Republican Presidential Debate. Those of you that know me Know that I take being a Christian very seriously, I don,t believe that anything that happens on this earth is as important as staying true to the commandments of our Father in heaven. That being said I simply cannnot vote for a pro- abortion candidate(Sorry Rudi) and as much as I think it would be a disaster for Hillary to become president if that is Gods will I,ll spend four … (30 comments)

2 THESSALONIANS 3:3 - 10/20/07 08:21 PM
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
Faithful-Firmness, stability, faithfulness, fidelity.conscientiousness, steadiness, certainty, that which is permanent, enduring, steadfast.
The word faithful is used 82 times in the bible,Faith 246 times, faithfully 8times, faithfullness 19 times, and faithless 4 times. And we are told that the Lord is always faithful.
Do you see a pattern here?
   How is your faith?
Do you put your permanent enduring, certianty in the Lord or do you doubt him?
   Are you faithful?

ATHEISM IS JUST NOT LOGICAL - 10/19/07 08:52 PM
Probably the most nerve wracking of all discusions is listening to an atheist talk about evolution. Atheism can br rebuked with one word BEGINNING,go ahead explain that one to me without admitting  there has to be a God. Whereas the Bible tells us how it was accomplished over and over.
REVELATIONS:21:6 And he said to me, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
JOHN 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

JOHN 14:21 - 10/18/07 09:34 PM
" He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will beloved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him".
When we take into account all that our Lord has done for us. To take on the boby of a man and suffer ridcule, humiliation, torture and finally death on a cross, all to pay the price for OUR sins, how could we not love him. But how many know that following all the commandments is not always so easy? Right now I,m having a little … (9 comments)

MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON THE SIDEWALK - 10/16/07 07:25 PM
It's autumn in sussex county so our local Gideon Camp is doing its annual school bible distributions. Now most of the schools in our county are bussed so there are not all that many that we can do.  Each of the last two weeks I was blessed to be able to speak at one of the Christian Grammar sacholls in our county. Its a wonderful experience where we can give about a ten minute presentation to each of the  fifth to eight grade classes. We give all of the students bible , speak to them about the Gideons and what we … (10 comments)

PRIME REALESTATE GREAT PRICE NEW CONSTRUCTION - 10/15/07 09:23 PM
Seems I have some anti-fans who accuse me of having blogs that have nothing to do with real estate. So today we are going to speak about some real estate that I would love to have the listing for, but I know that will never happen. It will never happen because this real estate will not be sold it will be given away.

HE QUALIFIES THE CALLED - 10/14/07 09:48 PM
ISIAH6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I,
I don,t know if this is going to work but if it does this is a great song about this verse.
HERE AM I
The name Isiah means " Yaweh is Salvation" Isiah was used to tell of God's anger with and judgement upon sin  in Israel Judah and the surrounding nations. Isiah was allowed to actually see the Lord and he answered the Lords call. It is my belief that when the Lord calls you there … (5 comments)

MATHEW 7:33,34 - 10/12/07 09:35 PM
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The verses leading up to these two speak about the quest for earthly things, food ,clothes, etc. but verse 33 tells the real story. Seek God first and let him worry about your needs. Who to better take care of our needs then the creator of the universe. We need to put our focus on fellowship with God, and not on … (3 comments)

And Jesus came ans spake unto them saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

Her grandfather was lending them money for closing and he works 6 days a week so his wife can stay home with the children. HUMILITY - 10/09/07 08:00 PM
IMAGINE WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WORLD WE WOULDHAVE IF WE ALL JUST PRACTICED A LITTLE MORE HUMILITY.
IN LUKE 14:11 The lord tells us "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted"
JOHN 13:14 " If I then, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anothers feet
Even our Lord and saviour washed the disciples feet to show us a lesson in humilty.

A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD THAT "GETS IT" - 10/08/07 08:46 PM
New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !                 Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are  not allowed in most public schools anymore Because the  word "God" is mentioned.... A kid in Arizona wrote the  attached                 NEW  School prayer :                 Now  I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule                 For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him  very odd. If Scripture now the class recites,                 It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I  bow Becomes a Federal matter now. IF YOU DIE IN YOUR SLEEP TONIGHT WHERE WILL YOU BE GOING - 10/07/07 09:30 PM
Over the last couple of months I have written alot of blogs on Christianity and how it pertains to the lives we lead as realtors as christians and as human beings. I just finished ten days looking at the ten commandments which caused me to revisit a couple of issues. My hope was that it might do the same for others also. But it seems to me I have been tip toeing aroung the most important issue of all. So I have three questions for you.
1. ARE YOU SAVED
2. HAVE YOU ACCEPTED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND … (16 comments)

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DAY TEN - 10/06/07 03:10 PM
EXODUS 20:17
Thou shalt not cove thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass,nor anything that is thy neighbour's.
Ephesian 5:3-5 tells us coveteousness is a form of idolatry. Idolatry is an aggravated form of self lovemotivated by ego-drive.
I don't think that God has any problem with us wanting things, but he has a problem with the level we will go to to get them. I don't think he has room for our jealousy. There is no problem with looking at your neighbors new car and thinking for a second "I … (4 comments)

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DAY NINE - 10/05/07 06:55 PM
EXODUS 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
In PROVERBS 6 One of the six things that the Lord hates is A false witness who speaks lies and one who sows discord among brethren PROVERBS 6:19.
In a church that I  know of through a close friend there was a discord amongst a couple of members who did not care for the Pastor. Most of the congregation loves him and it was one of those things. Anyway this one member went around telling members of the congregation thatg the Pastor didn,t even visit this members mother (who was also a member) … (9 comments)

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DAY EIGHT - 10/04/07 07:50 PM
EXODUS 20:15
Thou shalt not steal
I think that this commandment is prety straightfoward but we still need to be careful when we rationalize our actions.
1.) Is not fudging on your income tax stealling from the government.
2.) Is not taking unauthorizes breaks stealing from your employer
3).How about waking by the produce stand and grabbing a couple of grapes.
4)Returning something to the store after you,ve already used it.
I still think that this is a pretty essy commandment to keep just by living with integrity but we must just watch for those little things which we think noone notices because God notices.

PRAYER MEETINGS FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS - 10/03/07 09:15 PM
I just came home a little while ago from the wednesday night prayer meeting at my church. I also attend satuday morning prayer breakfasts with my Gideon brothers. I was not all that long ago when i didn,t even like to pray aloud at sunday service. But the thing about praying in groups with other christians and hearing each person speak to the Lord about what is on their heart at that moment, not too mention having your friends pray for your needs while your in the room. Its just amazing, you can't help but feel closer to the Lord when … (6 comments)

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DAY SEVEN - 10/03/07 08:50 PM

exodus 20:14
Thou shalt not commit adultery
I can remember quite a few years ago, hearing our then president Jimmy Carter, saying something along the line of, that he was confessing that he had lusted in his heart. At the time all I thought was , what kind of wack job have we elected president? I now know that this was a man of strong moral character for saying such a thing.
If we look in scripture I think we can barely say that the avereage man commits adultery on a daily basis. I know that when I first read this scripture all I … (5 comments)

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DAY SIX - 10/02/07 07:01 PM
EXODUS 20:13
Thou shalt not kill.
Now this seems at least to be pretty straight foward. Most of us just look at this commandment and say well I haven.t killed anyone so I,m safe here.WELL lets see what scripture says about it.
MATHEW 5: 21,22
 Te have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgement;
But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement; and whosoever shall say to his brother.Ra'-ca shall be in danger of … (6 comments)

EXODUS 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
How many of us have wrestled with this one. I know I have.To what point do we Honor them. I wiould never swear at my parents, try not to be disrespectful although there have been times when this is difficult. In my family me and my sisters make a point not to answer the phone when they are calling if its after 4:30 because by then they are well into cocktail hour. So I try o show them … (8 comments)
