WATERING OUR LIVES WITH THE WORD - 04/30/08 11:34 AM
ISAIAH 55 10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth bud, that it may give sed to the sower and bread to the eater. 11 So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to me void. but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 For you shall go out with joy, and be lead out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing

JUST A BIT NERVOUS, TAPING MY FIRST RADIO SHOW TOMORROW - 04/29/08 09:52 PM
Tomorrow i will be taping my first radio show. It is a half hour show sponsored by our church. it plays Sunday mornings from 8 till 830. The funny think is that it is on a contemporary rock station so i get to preach to my people. Many were the sunday mornings i,ve woken up hung over with the radio still playing from the night before so i think it is an excellent outreach. For my first show I'll be leading with Hold Fast by Mercy Me, I,ll spend the next 22 and a half minuteswith a combination of parts of

CLAIMING YOU BELIEVE IN GOD IS NOT ENOUGH - 04/28/08 09:28 PM
THEY CLAIM TO KNOW GOD, BUT BY THEIR ACTIONS THEY DENY HIM. THEY ARE DETESTABLE, DISOBEDIENT AND UNFIT FOR DOING ANYTHING GOOD. TITUS 1:1 All too often I here," I believe in God but I don't agree with , or I don't believe in ________". Well too bad God hasn't asked your opinion. He gave us His living word through the bible. There is one way to heaven, through the belief in Jesus and the confession that he died and was resurrected for our sins. He also gave us commandments to live by in order to strengthen our fellowship with him. If you

GODS LIGHT - 04/28/08 07:51 AM
For God, who said,"Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:6 Then Jesus told them, You are going to have the light just a little while longer, walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. JOHN 12:35 Jesus was the light when He walked upon this earth. Now as believers we have the ability to have that light in our hearts. The

THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL - 04/26/08 12:31 PM
Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Mathew 9: 37 Do you not say,'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. John 4:35 The harvest being, souls to win for Christ, is ever plentiful. We don,t need to wait for a reason to start harvesting. We need only open our eyes to find people who are in need of the word of God and the gift of salvation. There is much work to be done and far too few workers

DISCIPLESHIP - 04/26/08 11:03 AM
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. MATHEW 28:19,20 I think these verses sum up one of our main duties as Christians. We may not all be called to be missionaries but every one one us knows unsaved people in our own familes, in our neighborhoods, in our workplaces. Most of us would not feel comfortable perfoming baptisms, but if

THE GREAT COMMISION, FREE WILL, PREDETERMINATION - 04/25/08 09:44 PM
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certianly Not! For he says to Moses," I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever i will have compassion."ROMANS 9:14,15 I am a new creation in the Lord. As I look back I'm pretty sure the old me was not very pleasing to Him. I thought I was a good guy. High level of integrity, supported my family , helped out friend or family in need. But as I look back I am just so happy to be born again in Christ. I

PRAISE GOD - 04/23/08 11:30 AM
Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you. 1 PETER: 3-4 Up here in the Sussex County New Jersey we are experiencing springtime and what a glorious time it is. Everything is blooming , the trees and bushes are clorful and its as if life is renewing before our eyes. Anyone that needs a reason to praise God only ned

FALSE TEACHINGS - 04/22/08 09:10 PM
For the time will come when men will not put upwith sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 TIMOTHY 4:3 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 TIMOTHY 3:1 We need to be careful just who's teachings we are listening too. POISONED BY BITTERNESS - 04/21/08 02:57 PM
FOR I SEE THEREFORE THAT YOU ARE POISONED BY BITTERNESS AND BOUND BY YOUR INIQUITY.ACTS8:23 This is part of he story in which Simon the Sorceror from Samaria was asking Phillip if he could buy the power that Philip had shown in doing Gods miracles. But how many of us today are in the same boat.? Bitterness can eat away at you as much as any poison and produce sin in our lives. We ned to practice forgiveness just as the Lord Jesus taught us so that we can cast off the bitterness and sin in our lives. For His Glory Hugh

BUT WHAT IF I AM RIGHT? - 04/21/08 02:31 PM
This will not be the first, nor probably the last blog I have written about CHRISTIANITY being under attack. Now I try not to let it bother me because Christ tld us we will be persecuted for our belief's and I have absolutely no problem with that. What weighs on my heart is when I see and hear people getting downright viscious and blasphemous. Now before I was saved that could have described me, part of what makes me such an evangelist is my belief that is my heavenly Father can forgive me I know he can forgive anyone.

THE FIRST GENTILE CHURCH - 04/20/08 05:28 PM
THEN BARNABAS WENT TO TARSUS TO LOOK FOR SAUL, AND WHEN HE FOUND HIM, HE BROUGHT HIM TO ANTIOCH. SO FOR A WHOLE YEAR BARNABAS AND SAUL MET WITH THE CHURCH AND TAUGHT GREAT NUMBERS OF PEOPLE. THE DISCIPLES WERE CALLED CHRISTIANS FIRST AT ANTIOCH. ACTS 11: 25,26 Antioch during the period that the disciples were planting the Church was one of the most depraved cities in the world.Any pleasure man desired could be found there. So where could there be a better place to grow the church. And who better to bring along for the ride than Saul of Tarsus(Paul).

STAND FIRM - 04/17/08 11:52 AM
Therefore , my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 COR. 15:58 I know sometimes in this secular society that we live in it it sometimes hard to stand firm. Every person living a deviant lifestyle learns at least one bible verse(Judge not less ye be judged) and hold it against us. They want to tell us how Jesus would have acted without ever reading the bible and finding out the truth. But I say to

THE WISDOM OF THE WORLD - 04/17/08 11:04 AM
For it is written: " I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;the intelligence of the intelligent i will frustrate." Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made follish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.1 COR. 1 :19-21 We must watch not to be taken in by the wisdom of the world. Sure it may sound logical and they may

REASON FOR HOPE - 04/16/08 10:31 PM
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 PETER 3:15 As believers we have the best kind of hope. The kind that we know will come true. We have been saved by the sacrifice of our Lord and someday we will have eternal life in His presence. This hope should shine so powerfully from our very beings that it should be obvious to perfect strangers. Then when they ask us

DON'T TAKE TOMORROW FOR GRANTED - 04/15/08 07:39 PM
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. PROVERBS27:1 Any time we speak of what we are going to do tomorrow or next week or next year, I like to end the sentencewith "God Willing". Each day on earth is a gift from the Almighty, to talk about the future like it is owed to you is disrespecting the one who can give it to you. Ilike the first words out of my mouth every day to be'Thank You Lord for waking me up for one more day.

SOMETHING FOR CHRISTIANS TO THINK ABOUT - 04/14/08 06:59 AM
ACTS 2: 44,45 All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. MATHEW 19:21 Jesus answered, " If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then, come follow me. HEBREWS 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, " Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." Today was a day of firsts. I presented my first Gideon presentaion that was actually during a Sunday service. It was the first time I have spoken in front of any type of Church congregation that was not my home Church. And just to make it a little more nervewracking I was not held to the normal 10 minute presentation, the pastor , who is a former Gideon, let me have the whole sermon. All I can say is I need to learn not to get nervous beforehand. The Lord has it under control. The Church I presented in was Wantage

ISAIAH 53 - 04/06/08 06:55 AM
ISAIAH 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. What a great prophetic verse, Even if it had been written after Christs crucifixion it would still be a sobering message, but the fact that it was written thousands of years before Jesus was even born makes it quite breathtaking. I fully reccomend reading the entirety of Isaiah 53. it is one of the bible most prophetic chapters. In fact the whole book of Isaiah is a must read for a
