I know that this has been a rough year for allot of people, but if you simply wake up in the morning, have a Thanksgiving meal to look foward too and a place to eat it you have more to be thankful for than much of the world. We can be thankful to live in such a great country and thanful for such an awesome God that graces us with so much.

So wherever you gather for Thanksgiving, before the family starts arguing, or the kids get out of countrol or everyone falls asllep watching football, take a moment to gather everyone and 'Thank the Lord God who has given everything to you".It doesn't have to be any big production but I think it is better if it comes from the heart,

DIARY OF THE UNBORN

Anyone who knows me even in passing has a general Idead about my feelings on the murder of the unborn. Today is was reading through some sermons from Dr. Ray Pritchard from KeepBelievingMinistries.com and I came across this imaginary Diary of an unborn child. I found it very touching and wanted to share it.

Diary Of An Unborn Child

Our greatest problem with abortion is that we have a hard time seeing the unborn for what they are-real people being put to death. It helps if we understand that what is being aborted is not a fetus but a real person-a little girl with blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes or a little boy with freckles and a dimple. If only we could see the unborn as people just like us, we would know the truth about abortion.

This is called "Diary of an Unborn Child." It is imaginary, yet full of truth.

October 5 - Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet and I am as small as the seed of an apple. But I am really here. And I am glad to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled, even the fact that I shall love flowers.

October 19 - Some say I'm not a real person yet, that only my mother exists. But I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is truly bread. My mother is. And I am.

October 23 - My mouth is just beginning to open now. Just think, in a year or so I shall be laughing and later talking. I know what my first word will be: "Mama."

October 25 - My heart began to beat today all by itself. From now on it will gently beat for the rest of my life without ever stopping to rest.

November 2 - I am growing a bit every day. My arms and legs are beginning to take shape, but I have to wait a long time yet before I can hug my mommy and daddy.

November 12 - Now my fingers are beginning to grow. Funny how small they are. I'll be able to stroke my mother's hair with them.

November 20 - Today for the first time the doctor told mom that I am living under her heart. Oh, how happy she must be. Are you happy, Mom?

November 25 - My mom and dad are probably thinking about a name for me. But they don't even know that I am a little girl. I want to be called Kathy. I am getting so big already.

December 10 - My hair is growing. It is smooth and bright and shiny. I wonder what kind of hair mommy has.

December 13 - I am just about able to see. It is dark around me. When mom brings me into the world it will be full of sunshine and flowers. But what I want more than anything is to see my mom. Do I look like her? I hope so.

December 24 - I wonder if mom hears the whispering of my heart? Some children come into the world a little sick. But my heart is strong and healthy. It beats so evenly: tup-tup, tup-tup. You'll have a healthy daughter, Mom.

December 28 - Today my mother killed me.

LET THERE BE PEACE ON AR AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME

SERIOUSLY FOLKS THE PERSONAL ATTACKS HAVE TO STOP.

First of all I am by no means pleading innocense.I have made many friends on AR and also have come across situations when I realized that friendship just wasn't going to be in the cards with some folks. I have admittedly been a thorn in the side of AR management for far too long and decided last week it was time for an apology and an ending to childishness.

I know many of us like to push each other to the edgeand have actually gottenquite good at it but there needs to be a line we will not cross or I am afraid that management will have no choice but to start terminationg memberships.This is a decision we will each have to make on our own but I have a few suggestions that might be helpful.

I think we should all think carefully before hiting submit if our words:

1) Call anyone out by name in a derogatory manner

2) Say anything with the intent to hurt someones reputation

I would also like to point out that calling someone,Racist, Homophobe, Stupid, etc, etc, for no other reason than they disagree with you usually makes you look worse than them. I also feel the same way about profanity, we can all learn new pronouns

Anyway, from the probably about 5,000 people I have met through AR. I can honestly say I like at least 4995 of them amd I am sure most of you feel the same. Lets not ruin things over the other 5.

SOME THOUGHTS ON THE HEALTHCARE DEBATE

Lately much of our time has been spent on the healthcare debate. First let me say that I think it is time well spent as this issue is very important to manay people, including myself. I am glad to see so many involved in the process because sad as it may be, when we the people do not speak up we usually lose out to the self serving and special interests groups.

Next I would like to bring up an aspect of healthcare that I am sorry to say does not seem to get enough attention.No matter how comprehensive your insurance is or how high the quality of care you receive is there is one aspect of it all which is not going to change.YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.How many who have there whole life planned out have not even given this most basic notion a thought. No matter how long you may live it will not measure up against eternity.

Fortunately there is an insurance plan that can cover everyone. A FEW THINGS JESUS DID SAY

As of late some of my secularist friends have been using the "What would Jesus do " line to counteract anything myself or some other Christians might say that is criticalof just about anything which they feel would be for the better of the people.

Now I am not normally for proof texting "taking one particular verse out of context to prove your view" because often it proves a falacy, the concepts of the Bible must be studied and understood in their full meaning all the way from Genesis to Revelation.

But since I have seen so many verses misquoted and misused I thought I might just add a couple to the discussion.

Criticism or Righteous Judgment

At times it seems as if criticizing has become the national pastime, especially in the political realm. I am very guilty of leveling criticism against our leaders, especially the current inhabitants of the white house, and as a Christian struggle with this daily.

Let me start off by saying that I believe all who are put in positions of authority are ordained by God. I do not believe that anything at all, even the most minute of details, happen for any reason other than they are all part of God's plan.

If that is the case it stands to reason that when we criticize someone we are in fact criticizing God. It is as if we know of a better way to work out the circumstances of our lives. Yet, the Bible does call for righteous judgment. When we are talking about judgment within the Church there is a definate Biblical path laid out in Mathew 18:15-17

But how about a righteous judgment for those outside of the Church? I think that Galatians 6:1 gives us some guidance 'Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted."

A simple definition between the differences of being critical and of righteous judgment is "When we are critical we are judging the person whereas righteous judgment will judge the bondage and intercede to set them free.

So how does this apply to judging our elected officials? I heard an interesting quote last week that really hit home,'Sometimes we get the leaders we'veprayed for, and sometimes we get leaders who cause us to pray more."

So as a Christian I know that I have been wrong when I have expressed criticism of President Obama as a person, that judgment is for God alone, but i do feel that it is not only my right but my duty as a Christian to express a righteous judgment against actions that are in direct conflict with Gods law.

In this statement i include issues such as abortion, stem cell research and euthanasia, sexual immorality etc.

May I just remember to do it in a spirit of gentleness and Christain love and according to the righteousness which comes from God only and not from a critical spirit of self righteousness.

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end.

The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.

The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.

As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'

He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me..? He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.

I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney,? kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew Him.

The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes.

He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I couldn't take my eyes off Him.

As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'

The prosecutor rose and said,

'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell.'

He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible Perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank..

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about.

As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all.

I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?

Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.'

When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench.? The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come forward..

As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty..?

I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and then He turned to address the court.

'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wages of sin is death, and this man deserves to be punished.'

Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'

My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life,? and no one can snatch him from Me.

Satan still does not understand yet.? This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy..'

As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else that needs to be done.'

'I've done it all.'

The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down.? The following words bellowed from His lips..

'This man is free..? The penalty for him has already been paid in full.? 'Case dismissed.'

As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, 'I won't give up, I will win the next one.'

I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'

Christ lovingly smiled and said,'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In Full~'

If you do not pass this along to 10 people immediately, absolutely nothing will happen.

¹⁴ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Last night the Lord put something on my heart tonight it has manifested into an idea and over the next few months I am going to make myself available to allow the Lord to work through me to turn this idea into something awesome. I think it may be a big undertaking but we have a big God.

I don't know any Christians who think that our country is headed in the right direction moraly or spiritually. I am not just talking about this year but rahter for quite some time. Even our national day of prayer has become a media event which many of us use to denigrate those who didn't participate.

Right now this is just an idea, but I think that with the use of social networking, my friends around the county and the grace of the Holy Spirit we can do it.

I want to pick a date, probably at least 6 months to a year down the road, and have a national day fo prayer and fasting . I would also like it to be a day when we turn off all media in our lives and concentrate on lifting our country up to the Lord. No television, no computers, no talk radio and no food for one 24 hour period.

The first thing I am looking for are members of the family of god to help me organize it. I have many ideas but am looking for more. We need to take this national at the least.

I honestly don't know how I will fit this into my schedule but the Lord does. Please prayabout it.and then if the Lord puts it upon your heart to get involved either call me at

SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER TO IGNORE

As someone who is one of the original members of the Silent Majority Group I have seen alot since it was founded. The founder was kicked of Active Rain, others have been suspended and quite a few of us have been warned. Political arguments tend to get people fired up.

For the past year or so, although the arguments and disagreements have't lightened up at all I have seen a certain civilitystart to creep in. I have seen and know of many members apologizing to other members and have seen friendships form between unlikely combatants. I include myself in both of the last two statements.

In addition to the obvious passion that is shown in this group, I would be foolish not to acknowledge that on occasion a comment is made for the specific purpose of riling someone else up.It is many of these occasions that are followed by an apology. I have contacted more than a few members in private when i felt it got to personal and in all circumstances except one cooler heads were able to prevail.

Now to the point, because many of our posts are also posted in other groups, one in particular we are able to encompass different idealogies, which is quite often the main point. The problem is that we seem to have one commenter whose name I will not mention (and I will delete any comment that does) that seems unable to comment on a Silent Majority post without an insult or snide comment. Quite often the comments seem as if they have not even read the post.

Now most of you know that there are certain arguments from which I will not back from under any circumstances, but when I found myself reacting in ways that quite honestly digusted me I remebered that God is the only one whom I must always answer and I don't think He was very pleased.

So I have made it a point to just ignore this one individual and have stopped responding to any comment which I feel has no bearing except to hurl an insult. Of course we may have different opinions of what costitutes an insult but My opinion is that rather than going back to the days when there were members actively trying to get each other thrown off the Island, when one of your posts recieves a comment that you feel has no value accept to insultTAKE THE HIGH ROAD AND JUST IGNORE IT.

I Honestly Felt Sorry For Her

Yesterday I was able to watch Speaker Pelosi self destruct on television.At first it was so enjoyable I watched it three times, after allthose of you who know me know she is dead on against the topics that matter most to me.

A) She is Pro - Abortion

B) Shy is a hypocrite and liar who will say anything for political gain

C) She is a mockery to the religious beliefs she claims to hold.

So why was I sad?

A) Because a WOMAN who managed reach the third highest position in our country is going to have to step down in disgrace. ( If you doubt that what till the CIA starts to leak the memo's, they are taking this very personally).

B) Because in my heart I would like to believe that many years ago herintentions were good.

So Nancy ~Last night I prayed for you, because I know from experience that sometimes the Lord needs to bring you low in order to get your attention. I prayed for you family and I prayed that you may see this as the work of God and come to a place of repentance in your life which will ultimately lift you higher than you have ever been.

Our God is awesome, as is the love that His people show for one another. One person is going to read this post and know it is for them. Some of you may suspect but if I had wanted to use their name I would have. I am choked up with the Love and Joy of the Lord right now and just want thischild of God to understand how much the gesture meant to me.Can't say it made me think any better of you because that was already not possible so I am just praising the Lord with thanksgiving and calling upon Him to bless you abundantly. The new leader of the conservative movement, OBAMA

Our President is doing more to reignite the conservative movement in this country than anyone since Ronald Regan. Of course I feel this was the republicans plan all along when the assured McCain the nomination but then failed to back him in the election.

Just yesterday I heard that the presidents team floated Caroline Kennedy's name as a possible ambassador to the Vatican. Supposedly(but not confirmed) she was the fourth pro-choice nominee that has been rejected by the vatican. Either Obama has the most incompetant vetting staff ever known to men or he just likes ticking off people.

We are not even 100 days into the term and there is hardly a group left whom the president hasn't offended. If you are for a strong defense he has offended you, if you voted for him in order to have a quick exit from thr war he has offended you.

He has also been a great advocate for Christianity, many moderate Christians who voted for him are now coming back to church in groves wringing their hands over the mistake they made.

Thank you President Obama for showing everyone just how much damage can be done when we fall away from Judeo Christian principles and self reliant conservative views of government.

EASTER, RON HUTCHCRAFT AND THE THREE OPEN PRAYER

I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was tortured, hung on a cross, died and was buried in a tomb.

I also belive that after three days in fulfillment of the scriptures He arose and was resurrected to pay the price for my sins.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in CHRIST JESUS our Lord. Romans 6:23

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved Romans10:13

These three scriptures should in my opinion be the basis for everything I do in my life, when I think of Easter and the price that my God paid for me it is hard not to tear up. Never again will there be such a gift. To say I don't deserve it is an understatement but the glorious thing is that this gift is available to all who will call upon the name of the Lord.

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved Romans 10:9

This morning I was fortunate enough to attend a breakfast with Ron Hutchcraft as the speaker. I was even lucky enough to be at the same table.We are trying to rally the businessmen of our county to get off the bench and get in the game of winning souls for the Lord.

Ron taught us a very simple prayer that I believe can be life changing, He called it the three open prayer.

1) Lord open the doors

2)Lord open their hearts

3)Lord open my mouth

I believe him that if we pray this simple prayer, pray it from our hearts,pray it till we come to a deep realization that standing on the sidelines is no longer an option.

I believe we can make a difference in this world and allow ourselves to be used by the Lord to share the greatest gift man has ever known.

YOUR GUY LIES MORE THAN MY GUY

It seems like this is what our political system has come down to. I love a good political debate and noone has ever accused me of being shy when it comes to my belief's. I have come to the popint in my life where I vote Pro-Life , nocompromise, everything else to me is seconday. I will vote for the person who takes a stand for the pre-born. Putting that side for the purposes of this post I am disgusted by the complete lack of integrity by our elected official. It has gotten to the popint where our officials would rather be thought incompetent than to face the cameras and tell the truth.

I happen to believe it would have been wrong to not pay the AIG bonuses that were already contracted for. My reasons and those of others have been stated on other posts. My problem is that when the bill was written so did most of our officials, but now one negative news story nad they are all running for cover.Just as an example, Chris Dodd would rather have us believe that he was so incompetant as to either not know about or not agree to his own ammendment that face the cameras and tell us why the ammendment was added.

I do not believe for a second that the congressmen who said the AIG officials should commit suicide did not really think that.

The problem is that we accept it. If I point out that President Obama broke his campaign promise about earmarks the only response I am likely to get is someone pointing out a campaign promise President Bush broke, which will be followed by a campaign promise President Clinton broke, which will be followed by a campaign promise President Bush Sr. broke and then everyone likes to pile on President Carter. How about for a change say goodbye to past accusations and hold the current President to the fire. Or how about <heaven forbid the current president , no matter who it is just come out and tewll us " I know I promised _____ in the campaign , but at the time I was not aware of thingsd i am aware of now and I need to break that promise.

We might actually get a president we cpuld respect.

How about when one side catches the otherside doing something blatantly wrong, the side of the guilty party hold that person accountable, I think that would really further the cause of that party.

We as a nation have gotten to the point that we accept the fact that our elected officials, cheat on their taxes, on their wives, lie to their constituents, their staff,s their families, and even under oath and WE ARE ONLY OUTRAGED IF IT IS THE OTHER PARTY.

I'M SORRY BUT WE HAVE THE GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE

Those of you who have known me awhile know that I am attending Bible College through distance learning. I am also president of the local Gideons camp and voulunteer with a homeless ministry when I can. But I have two main passions, one is the Right to Life movement and the other is that i feel the Lord is calling me to preach.

Lately I have been throwing around the idea of just buying a microphone and speaker and doing some public gospel preaching this summer. Well as is usually the case the Lords timetable was a little different then mine.

Yesteday a group from our Church(about 2/3's from our youth group) went down to the Bronx and met up with a Minister we know who is doing a Church plant. We spent the first haf\lf of the day visiting homeless shelters, bringing food and clothes and just engaging and witnessing. After we visitied three shelters it was time for some street evangelizing.

I had been talking with one of my friends who is on the outreach team about stting up some outdoor services this summer in an are of our county which , lets just say is an unserved area. Wouldn't you know the Pastor we were visiting made an announcment and asked if anyone would be willing to take the microphone and speaker he broguht and do some street preaching.

I was somewhat nervous as I had very little time to prepare, but I know from past experience there is onlyone option during times as this. I dropped to my knees and lifted it to the Lord in prayer.

On our way to the bus stop out team was setting up at I pulled dog eareda few pages of my bible and counted on the Spirit.

All I can say is that when my Pastor told me we were going to wrap it up in a few minutes my first thought was why are we stopping already. The thing is I had been at the mic for over an hour and a half just preaching the Gospel and the ned for repentance and when I had no words I just prayed and praised the Lord.

Now I,m not foolish enough to think that any of this had to do with my own ability because I know it was the Holy Spirit who took over but the popint is it took my over a day just to be able to speak about it thats how powerful it was.AND I NEVER WOULD HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY IF I HADN'T STEPPED OUT AND MADE MYSELF AVAILABLE.

MAKE YOUR SELF AVAILABLE AND YOU'LL BE AMAZED WHAT THE lORD WILL ACCOMPLISH. MY LIFE HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN CHANGED FOREEVER.

There is only one path which we must take to pull our country out of it's present difficulties, That is the path which leads us to the cross.The Cross at Calvary on which our Lord and savior sacrificially died for th sins of a sinful world.

At the cross there is life, at the cross there is joy, at the cross there is salvation for any who cal on the name of the Lord. We have become a sinful nation , we fall deeper and deeper into the strongholds of sin each and every day.

But there is GOOD NEWS the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Worrying will do no good, man can not fix the many sins of this country except through prayer and repentance. But God can set us right with just one breath from His Holy mouth.

What shall it be , shall we succumb to secularism and wind up burning in the eternal lake of fire.

Or shall we repent and rejoice in the lords love and kindness.

A GREAT DAY IN WASHINGTON FOR THE ANNUAL MARCH

It was a beautiful 45 degree day better than we could have hoped for and much better than inauguaration day. Thank You Jesus. Ince again the crowd topped 100,00 and once again tens of thousands of young people.

One particular chant I heard from a group of young girs was particularly heart warming. It went"DEAR MR PRES- I- DENT I AM NOT A PUN-ISH-MENT" I pray that one reached his ears. I spent quite some time in front of the supreme court build listening to testimonies from "Silent no more" a group of very vocal women andmen whose lives have been almst destryed because of poor decions on abortion. But glorious testimonies how through the grace of God they werer able to salvage their lives and are now very proactive in the fight.

Perhaps the most important part of the day was when some from our group went to the reception from Cogressman Garrett(A member of our Church) And congressman Smith ( A strong pro-life advocate also). They told us how important it is to fight FOCA(which you can google and find a petition) The freedpm of choice act; which Obama promised planned parenthood he would sign would bring us back to the dark ages. Just for starters it would lift the ban on partial ban abortions and outlaw all parental notification laws.

In a previous post I comared Pres Obama to Hitler i take that back anyone who would sign this act into law makes Hitler look like an amateur. No disrespect meant to Holocaust survivors or their families , but we have our own genocide going on right here. Over 48 millio babies now.

Over 22 years ago my wife gave birth to a premature babie that was only 19 weeks into the pregnancy. A the time technology could not save that baby, but to this day I have a picture of my son Johua, 10.5 ounces in weight and just over 6 inches long. He lived for 45 minutes. I don,t need ultrasounds to tell me abortion is murder.

TAKING MY STAND AGAINST HYPOCRISY

I have had enough of the lovefest. My one over riding problem with president elect Obama is that he voted four times against the law and the funding to provide medical carefor babies born after failed abortions. In my view that puts him in the same grouping as Hitler and the Khumar Rouge.

As a Christian Ipray for Mr Obama every day at least once. I pray that he see the error of his ways and turn back to the Lord HE SAYS he believes in.

I believe that a country without morals is bound to fail regardless of the state of its economics. History proves this out.

So although I will pray for him fervently I AM NOT HOPING HE SUCCEEDS, I AM HOPING HE FAILS MISERABLY. SO MISERABLY THAT THE COUNTRY WAKES UP ANDTELLS THE SECULARISTS WE ARE TAKING THIS COUNTRY BACK.

Say about me what you will , just never call me a hypocrite.

As much of a mess as our country seems to be in right now, one of the things we should surely be thankful for is the fact that we have had no more terrorist attacks at home since 9/11. I won't even say President Bush because We know he is responsible for every bad action since God created the world, but I think we owe our intelligence operatives a debt of gratitude.
