Austin area foreclosure postings decrease!

Metro Austin foreclosure postings are down 5 percent for the April auction compared with a year ago.
The total so far in 2011 remains 3 percent ahead of the same period of 2010, according to Foreclosure Listing Service Inc. But George Roddy Sr. said that is the smallest increase he has seen since the latest foreclosure cycle began in 2008.
Total postings in 2010 were 32 percent higher than a year ago. The increase was 13 percent from 2008 to 2008 and 49 percent from 2008 to 2009.
