We have our first grand baby this year. My son moved to Missouri, then Mississippi and final destination New Mexico. They got pregnant in Missouri. Elizabeth Noel was born in Mississippi and is growing up in New Mexico. My husband and I live in Missouri so it is a long way to see her now. She is so chubby and adorable! I miss them something terrible, they came here for Mothers Day and it was so special.

I now know what all those Grandmas feel like.

I was shocked to see how long it had been since I had been on this site.

The summer keeps us Realtors busy! I go from zero to a hundred and multi tasking does not begin to explain how many jobs we are doing at one time. Yesterday, I had to charge my phone 3 times.

It may sound complacent but in actuality I am loving it. The hotter is gets the better our homes sell.

Christmas Tird

The new Boston Terrier is a terrorist. He is the latest addition to a used to be quiet home.

We thought we had him potty trained but with this new batch of ice outside he seems to think it the floor inside has better potty places.

So back to NO NO-ing him and good boying him when he goes outside.

Well my husband was sneaking around with some presents today bringing them up from the basement and placing them under the tree. He was in good spirits playing Santa.

I heard him scream UGGH and oh sh...t and I could tell he had lost his Christmas spirit.

Sure enough the little terrorist had hidden a Christmas Eve tird under the Christmas tree and my husband got to step in it and not realize until he had climbed all the stairs and half the house. Needless to say our entire carpet and rugs all Christmas and bright now had been christened with dog tird.

Out came the mops, rags,paper towels, shampooer's etc and our Christmas Cleaning has begun.

A tird under the tree was pretty close to going outside so it is kinda hard to be mad, but boy does this stuff smell.

The History of Labor Day

Labor Day: How it Came About; What it Means

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made. The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union held its second Labor Day holiday just a year later, on September 5, 1883.

In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, as originally proposed, and the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a "workingmen's holiday" on that date. The idea spread with the growth of labor organizations, and in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many industrial centers of the country. gth, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

My home is in the historic area of Saint Charles Missouri and there is literally no parking. We back to an alley. The big news is we were able to add a 2 car driveway along side the little brick garage next to a huge old oak tree. I got to pull my big black truck with the chicken logos on the side in my new parking spot today. Who would have imagined what not parking on the street was like.

I LOVE IT! Just wanted to share my good news and to let you know my truck is parked happily in its new spot.

So wonderful to come home and surrender to sleep.

I fell into bed and let the blankets encompass me. The pillow felt like a long lost friend!

Nothing better than sleep when your day is so long and your blinking eyes can barely stand to stay open.

Thank God that he made us require sleep. It is a beautiful thing!

What a turn in the economy for the better

In the seven years I have been an agent, I have never been busy in August. With school starting back and the soaring temperatures it usually is a very slow time. THIS YEAR is strange. I think all the waiters and maybes have finally jumped ship and are buying and or selling.

My team is seeing an unusual soar in calls, listings and sales for this time of year.

Are any of you out there experiencing the same thing?

Would like to know if it is a fluke or are we all having a second summer?

I am having a second summer! I got buried at work and have not taken the time to write you Cheryl's and thank you for such a warm welcome. I am a work feen and sometimes get lost in it. I imagine most of you Cheryl's are too if the name traits are true. We are suppose to be artistic, friendly and workers.

I have never felt more welcome than this group, I even had NON Cheryls welcome me..ha ha.

August is past half way

Well, we are past half way through the year and I am feeling this was another tough year but we made it and were able to learn near route's around this years issues. Short sales and foreclosure have been the forerunners in calls and emails from new clients. Past clients held strong and we got to move some nice people into some newer homes. New sales have been steady despite soaring interest rates and gas.

Our team branched out into new web marketing and have expanded our reachability. I hope that in the coming months we see results from this effort.

Resale clients had it the hardest with keeping there home better than the rest, with landscaping and availabilty. I have most alarms off, spotless rooms and flowers galore on all listings to make them approachable.

Incentives were and still are the big break we recieved, in the past reduced commissions were the king, now we are asking for any and all things to get our homes sold.

We have a great last leg of the year coming up and the market is still strong.

My team and I look forward to a record year in one of the craziest markets.

I am proud of us and just want to ask..."Are you ready to fly the Coop?"

I am so excited that Spring is finally here!

This year more than ever the clients seem to be taking a lot longer on line and once we get them out looking.

Their expectations are very high. Clean bright and open no longer seems to cut the mustard.

Granite, finished basements, large garages and a year supply of anything! Just joking about the years supply of anything.

Remember that commercial that said Picky mothers choose Jiff?

Well picky clients choose the best deal for sure now.

We have had the pleasure of selling some beautiful homes but the supply is high and the expectations are higher.

Ready to take a dive into the housing market again?

2008 is going to be great! So far this year our team is having record sales, it will be our busiest January yet.

Interest rates are being our friend and the buyers are having fun. AOL recently posted the Saint Louis area was number 5 in the strongest and most stable markets. The article I read said we have a lot of sellers and we have room for more growth.
