In the Cedar City Real Estate Market, Mesa Hills is one of if not the first upscale subdivision in Cedar City. It was built in several phases from the early 1990′s. There are currently no homes for sale in Mesa Hills. This was a large development that is mostly built out. There are some really nice homes in the subdivision. The Del Sol Subdivision is one of the Gems in the Cedar City Real Estate Market. It is located south of the Cove Ridge Subdivision. It is a smaller subdivision of custom homes. It was built in the early 2000's. These are really nice homes. It is a very stable subdivision, in fact there are no homes listed for sale currently, and have only had 1 home sell in the past year. One of the great things about working in the Cedar City Real Estate Market is that we have the ability to work in several small towns along with Cedar City. One of those great small towns is Kanarraville. Kanarraville is South of Cedar City and a little East of Interstate 15. There are still some farms in Kanarraville along with some really amazing houses. West of Kanarraville and Interstate 15 there are a couple of developments with custom homes on 20 Acre parcels. This is the week that we go to RE Bar Camp Phoenix. We are looking forward to getting away for a couple of days. We are a little apprehensive of the 30 degree jump in temperature that we will be seeing. I am also looking forward to seeing some more of these guys, they sort of grow on you once you have seen them up close!

The Easter Egg Hunts in the Cedar City area actually began tonight at 8 PM at Park Discovery with an Easter Egg hunt for teenagers. These eggs actually had some really nice prizes, like gift cards worth $50 or $100. It will be a flashlight hunt, so it really should be fun for the teenagers. The Easter Egg Hunts for Children will be held at 9 AM at the Main Street Park in Cedar City and also at the Enoch City Office Building. These should be a lot of fun for the youngsters, and the weather is supposed to be warm, (4 comments)

In the Cedar City Real Estate Market, Ashdown Forest is another newer subdivision in Cedar City. It is mostly custom, high end homes. It is a PUD so there are HOA fees associated with it. It was built mostly in 2005, there are still several choice building lots available to build your own custom home. As I said, it is in city limits and is located at the North East side of Cedar City. Homes in Ashdown Forest range in square footage from 1500 to some that are around 5000 square feet. It is also located on the hill side, with (3 comments)
What factors are important to you as you plan where you're going to live. Is it convenience? Quality of schools? Safety? Commute times? Climate? Recreational opportunities? All of these factors combined to make a quality of life. I would add clean air, as well as other healthy environmental issues to the overall quality of life. There are many other factors, health care, cost of living, things like that. Everyone rates these items in order of importance. To some climate conditions are much more important than cost of living, to others it is just the opposite.
