Tonight at the Pizza Factory Police Officers will be your waiters. The reason that we’re writing about this and why they are doing it isn’t to make nice with the community. It is to earn tips to help fund Christmas for needy children. That’s right all of the tips paid to the Wait Staff (Police Officers, EMS Staff and Firemen), will go to buy Christmas presents for youngsters that may not otherwise have presents on Christmas Day. The Sheep Parade will be from 10 AM down Main Street to 200 North. This is part of the Livestock and Heritage Festival. There will be many more events as a part of the Livestock and Heritage Festival, some of them are, the vintage car and tractor show, Dutch Oven cook off, rodeo and dirt dance. Today at 4 PM the Iron County Fair gets into full swing! We have had some preliminary activities like the Mud Bog and the Little Buckaroo Rodeo, but this afternoon all of the exhibits are open. The carnival part of the fair is also open. The Iron County Fair Grounds are in Parowan, Utah. Tomorrow Night there will be an outdoor concert to begin Groovefest. Groovefest is a music festival that is free for the public and features some really great musical acts. The thing that has struck me the me the most about February and living in Cedar City is the Yo-Yo weather that we have been enjoying. Yesterday was one of those "Chamber of Commerce" sort of days. There was a blue clear sky, the temperatures were in the high 50's to low 60's. It was just a gorgeous day, we have had enough of these kind of days that the trees are budding and getting ready to bloom.

This past weekend we went with Darcy’s Parents to the Riverwalk Grill and Steakhouse in St. George. It was a dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone! The food was so delicious, the service was great and the ambience is cozy and quaint. (That means that it is fairly small dining room). The Riverwalk Grill is located at the Sun River Golf Course and features some of the finest food that I have ever eaten!
