Yes, the one year or 2nd annual 'shut down' is scheduled for this Saturday at 8:30 p.m.Didn't participate last year--well now you can; or NOT.For those who so did last year, the "Surge" at 9:30 p.m. really didn't aid the project's mission--to aid the planet by doing without any electronics for the hour. I don't recall any lessening of lighting last year around this neighborhood; and probably will not check this Saturday.However, what did get our attention was the recent announcement that the 100 w. light bulb will not be produced after Jan.1 2012.
