Damascus Community Fair - September 11 - 13, 2009
Yes, that time of year again, time for the Damascus Community Fair.  This will be the 64th occurance of this event.  For a complete list of events (live stock shows, tractor pulls, demonstrations, etc.) and schedule check out the program.  The fairgrounds are on Lewis Ave, not far from Jim Cone.  Admission is FREE.

The Maryland State - Department of Human Resources, Office of Home Energy Program (OHEP) is again offering two programs to help low Income Senior Citizens with their heating bills.  While the Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) and the Electric Universal Serive Program (EUSP) are different their purpose - to are very similiar, to offer assistance with heating bills and replacement of broken or inefficent furances  For more details and eligibility requirements contact the Office of Home Energy Programs website of call 1-800-353-1446
