UPDATE: I thought about this a bit more and realized that this is one of the things taught by Tim Ferriss the author of The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich . His philosophy is different in one huge way. He gives you a person, or several, to contact if you need something specific or immediate assistance. He is removing himself as a bottleneck for information but he is also empowering his staff to solve problems.
