One of my New Year's Resolutions was to take a day  off each week - even if it is a 2 hour day off. I have worked hard to do this. Today is my day off. I slept in ( until 6:30 am). I had a big cup of coffee with the local paper. Then I cleaned out some closets and drawers. I went to the store for groceries. I talked to my son in Hawaii. Now I am home to watch the golf tournament. I already feel clearer and less frustrated with the real estate market.

Frustrating day! - 01/29/11 07:07 PM
I was so frustrated today. Nothing major happened, but put it altogether and I feel like I had a wasted day.
I went to a new home I was selling today and buyers are all set to sign and we find out that lot does not have an extended garage. The onsite sales people pulled it together a few hours later with a different lot, so we will see if it sticks.
Then I run to open house and sit for 3 hours and only 2 people show up with no interest.

The past week I have been showing homes to my husband. He is my most challenging client of all. My husband is a wonderful man, but as far as looking at homes, he has taught me alot. My husband is disabled with CIDP so even looking at 1 or 2 homes is difficult plus he has trouble walking and with balance.

We were on our team real estate tour this morning and we saw such a nice foreclosed home in such a nice area of PGA West in La Quinta, California. The owners who lost the home had left the home in near perfect condition. The window coverings and drapes, the ceiling fans, lights, hardware, etc. were all there. The carpet was in excellent condition.  I was so impressed to see a distress sale property in such good condition. It reall shows class when people leave a home so beautiful.

What does your home mean to you? How long have you lived in your home? Have you had just a few homes in your life or many homes over the years?
To me, a home is where I live with my family. To me it does not matter if I live there for 1 month or 20 years. It is still my home.
I view my home where I make the memories of my life. There is furniture, photos, dishes, and even trees that bring back memories of my life- both good and bad times of my life.

Yesterday was a bummer day for me in real estate. I have been a high producing realtor/broker for over 10 years and have  my own boutique real estate company in La Quinta, California. I have some great agents and we hav alot of fun together. We pretty much can roll with the punches. We all know the real estate market sucks, but we just go forward and work hard and smart and sell homes.

You must be welcoming and friendly.
