So I am seriously considering a SMART car in light of gas prices and my overall attempt to be greener.  My wife vows never to ride with me in it says "Don't even think about putting the kids in that thing!!"  Of course that doesn't deter me...I keep looking for something to cool off my fever for one of these things.  The only thing holding me back so far is the fact that I won't get the instant gratification since they are all reserved...hmmmph.  Even the crash tests are good.  I thought for sure they would be horrible and I would … (4 comments)

Scary reminder that fire season is almost here - 05/30/08 03:14 AM
I ran across this video of the Anaheim Hills fire of last year and I was reminded of last year when living in Yorba Linda I could look South and see this fire or look North East and see the smoke from the Chino Hills fire. This fire got much closer than this video suggests. To the left of this area, the fire burned towards the 241 toll road and threatened homes there as well. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Multiple offers on a short sale listing - 05/30/08 02:46 AM
Okay agents I need some consensus here. What do you do when you have 10 offers on your short sale listing?  If you tell the bank don't they figure you have it listed way too low and reject all offers?  What do you do when you are 4 weeks into the approval process and you get a better offer?  Our contract is with the seller not the bank right?  Please help clear this up.

This aerial view of Yorba Linda Country Club shows how the course is nestled within our fabulous community. The video also details each hole. This is truly one of the hidden gems of Yorba Linda. I haven't had the luxury of playing Yorba Linda Country Club but have associates that are members and they rave about the course as well as the facility.
This golf course is less than 3 miles from another terrific, albeit young, course in Vista del Verde called Black Gold.

Which is better?
The "process" of buying a foreclosure is basically the same as buying a home that is not in foreclosure. The difficult part of buying a foreclosure is determining the right price to buy at. Just because it is a foreclosure does not mean it is a good deal. Furthermore, foreclosures regularly sell higher than the list price. Do your homework on the neighborhood and the comps and offer a price that makes sense. Trying to "steal" the house will lead to many offers and no home. Imperial Highway "Grade Separation" - 05/04/08 08:58 AM
This Caltrans project to build a bridge over Orangethorpe and the railroad tracks has been in the works since the late 1990’s. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has also been involved in the project because it is part of the countywide “Smart Street” program.
Anyone who drives through this intersection regularly is aware of the congestion created by the trains traveling along this particular track. Studies show that more than 70 trains a day travel this route, with that number expected to increase into the future.
