According to the Bryan-College Station Multiple List Service, residential home sales were down for the eighth consecutive month in total number of units sold.  There were 296 home sales in June 2009, a significant decline from June of 2008 when 357 homes sold.  
The increased difficulty of obtaining a loan (due in part to lenders requiring larger down payments along with higher credit scores) has eliminated many of the "move-up" buyers or buyers that don't have excellent credit or money to put down.  Long gone are the zero down programs (unless you are a Veteran).  Houses are still selling, but … (1 comments)
