Anyone thinking home staging is a fringe service practiced almost exclusively in California, and only slowly spreading to other states or provinces, guess again!
There's a need for staging anywhere there are:
occupied homes to sellvacant homes to sellpeople needing to move who can't agree on how to present their homesprospective buyers who can't look paste ugly, disorganized or vacant rooms homeowners with more money than tastehomeowners overwhelmed by the clutter in their livesbuilders with too much inventory people who want to sell their homes faster without slashing their price below market valueSo, what's the world's most remote country? New Zealand!

Stagers: How do you organize your portfolio photos? - 08/10/07 09:46 AM
I've staged hundreds of homes over the last five years and along the way I've accumulated over 7000 before and after shots. I tell you this because I've got myself into quite the mess, not adequately thinking through how I'd keep track of all these images for easy retrieval months or years later.
For clarification, these are all digital images stored on my computer (and backed up of course). 
Since real estate is a passion of mine, I'm better at recalling a house/project by it's street name than remembering a house by the name of the client. So, I filed all my before … (20 comments)

Chipped paint on door, trim or fireplace mantle and no time or budget to repaint?
Most trim is painted white. When it gets chipped you often see right down to the dark wood below, especially on an older home. The high contrast draws your eye right to the chipped paint.
Try camouflaging it with liquid "white out." You know the stuff we used to use to hide typos when we had typewriters. . .
OK, I'm older than you thought . . . but this really works!
