TVPG Radio's Jingle Contest (Updated) - 09/29/09 01:32 PM
I love the weekly talk radio show that I host every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time! The process of developing the Get More Business Show along with growing my national business network, The Value Pages Group, has been such an incredibly fun, educational, and humbling experience.  Often when you start chasing your dreams you end up being surprised by what you're able to accomplish, where they take you, and how they mold the person that you are...but I digress...
The Get More Business Show has turned out to me so much more than I initially anticipated it to be.  Through … (2 comments)

iPhone Users Fight Off Stereotypes With Cardboard and Innovation - 09/24/09 07:49 PM
In keeping with the theme of my last several blogs, I figured I would write one more post about the iPhone.  It seems like the only real negative about being an iPhone user (other than the additional cost) is the perception that it leaves on your friends, co-workers, and anyone else who may see you merrily going about your day.
Sure you may just be using your iPhone to be extra productive, but the fact that you've got a big smile on your face as you tune out your surroundings and stare into the magic that is the iPhone (highly desirable … (7 comments)

What Apps Do You Use For Your iPhone? - 09/17/09 01:14 PM
Yesterday I wrote a post about how I just got my new iPhone.  Through the comment stream, Melissa Brown suggested that we list the iPhone Applicatoins that we're using.  After writing a really long comment, I thought "This would make a great blog post!"  So for your reading pleasure, these are the Applications I've downloaded so far: Facebook
- This App is awesome.  Everything I do on the computer I can now do through my iPhone. As far as I'm concerned, this is a benchmark for all iPhone Applications.  Best of all...it's FREE!

iPhone for Business Use - 09/16/09 12:00 PM
It all started a couple of months ago.  My wife lost her phone and we had to get her a new one.  She had been sitting on a $100.00 gift card from the Apple Store for a couple of years (We're PC Folk), and she had this idea that she should use it to get a new iPhone.  Whether she really lost it or this was just a ploy, I'll probably never know.  Bottom line, 15 minutes after we walked into the Apple Store, we walked out with her brand new iPhone.
I've long been resistant to the iPhone and all … (14 comments)

The Hypersensitive Customer - Problem or Opportunity? - 09/15/09 10:43 PM

As businesses continue to struggle through this current tough economy, more bad news - a recent study out of the U.K. reveals the emergence of “hypersensitive customers,” consumers with less money, more info and zero tolerance for poor customer service. This study, by a UK business consulting and accounting firm by the name of BDO Stoy Hayward, it was found that in the last year and a half, customers have become less loyal, as they realize how their business is a privilege and as they look for retailers who recognize that fact. Incredibly, 48% of consumers admitted to increasing their … (2 comments)

What's the real story with foreclosures and this economy? - 09/10/09 06:46 PM
I keep hearing a lot of positive spin coming from the media about the state of the economy, the real estate market, consumer confidence, etc. Call me jaded, but I'm not convinced.
It seems to me that there's a lot of play in the system and engineered flaws in the way the information is presented to us, the public. What I mean is that I think the government is smart enough to be able to manipulate our impression of a system most of us don't understand (gasp!).
Although real estate indicators have been positive recently, there's still a lot of negative … (6 comments)
