The day will begin with the 2nd Annual Dogwood Dash--a 5k walk/run through the dogwood laden streets of Tallapoosa, sponsored by the Lion's Club.
Country, bluegrass, gospel, Christian rock and a variety of popular instrumental music will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue non-stop until 8 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., Country music star George Britt will highlight the double-barreled finale as he sings all the way up to the grand finale--the Possum Snout Shootout, a wild west street gunfight performed by actors for Rocky Branch Railroad & Old West Town. Tallapoosa Lions Club 5K Walk/Run - 04/07/09 07:15 AM
The Lions Club of Tallapoosa will be hosting our 3rd annual Dogwood
Dash 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, April 11th. Registration from
7:15am until 8:15am. It will be held in Tallapoosa. It is a challenging
course and was enjoyed by many serious runners last year. I would
love to hear from any interested parties and would be happy to send
an electronic flier . You may also sign up at the race.
