Not Sure How to Take Some of The Reports
As I was reading along a few days there was a report that we are at a 15 year low in home ownership.  Wow, that does not sound good at all.  Even with the increase in sales all across the nation we are still at the lowest level in 15 years.  Then today I find in the local paper, Apartments Push Home Building to a four Year High yet in the article they state we are 14 percent below the previous year.  What?  We are 14 percent below and we are at a … (30 comments)

This weeks market report for Mission Viejo and surrounding areas from Mission Viejo Realtor shows that Orange County Median Prices for the resale homes were down 1.4 percent, for new homes it is up 15.4 percent and for resale condos down 2.0 percent. The sales volume is up for resale homes 16.8 percent and up 15.7 percent on condos and down 21.2 percent for new homes.

Ruby was born one week ago.  She is our sons 3rd child.  She is nine pounds and has a beautiful head of hair.  Here is the proud grandpa and his new baby grand daughter.

The Foreclosure Shadow Inventory Is Shrinking
There has been a lot of projection on the amount of shasow inventory that existed with banks and how that inventory would be on the market for years to come.  That after the settlement of Robo Singing Court Case we would see a flood of foreclosures hit the market destroying prices.
It has not happened.  Today the Orange County Register had an atricle on the subject that supports one of my earlier blogs indicating that there is no huge shadow inventory.  At least in Southern California.

This weeks market report for Mission Viejo and surrounding areas from Mission Viejo Realtor shows that Orange County Median Prices for the resale homes were down 2.1 percent, for new homes it is up 16.9 percent and for resale condos down 3.0 percent. The sales volume is up for resale homes 22.9 percent and up 15.0 percent on condos and down 25.6 percent for new homes.

Our Latest Grand Child
 
Just thought I would share our latest addition to the family.  Ruby is a brand new grand daughter 9 lbs and is sitting with her older sister Relle.  Her brother Zane is not in this pic. is not in the picture.
Family is very important to my wife and I.  This is one branch on our family tree.  We have 6 children and this is the family of our oldest son.  We have a dozen grand kids and 1 great grand child.  It is a true blessing.
