Fiscal Year 2009 Budget Approved by New Jersey Legislature - 06/27/08 10:08 PM
The New Jersey Legislature approved A2800, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 state budget on June 23, 2008. The state budget for FY 2009 is $32.8 billion, $600 million less than the FY 2008 state budget. In addition, it includes $650 million to pay down the state's debt and it does not include any increases to real estate related taxes. You can view the bill text of the FY 2009 state budget and a detailed budget analysis. Medford Township's Department of Recreation is be providing a free "Family Summer Movies in the Park" series to be shown in Freedom Park, at 86 Union Street, Medford, NJ 08055 (across from the Public Safety Building). The movies will be shown at dusk every Tuesday evening through August 26. Once used as a water and power source and a natural highway in the days before the railroad, the Rancocas River with it's tributaries is still an important natural resource. It was started with the acquisition of 10-year old ePropertyData (March 2008), which provides the engine and hosting for the commercial listing service. Camera: Panasonic DMC-FX35 Wide Angle - 06/14/08 07:42 PM
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Panasonic DMC-FX35 25mm wide-angle camera, as I am trying one out. I'm looking at it primarily for it's wide-angle capability and latest technology features.I was considering an updated version of the Kodak V705 wide-angle with dual lens but that model or later version is no longer available from the company.So far, I have taken several types of shots and like the quality using mostly the default settings. There are a lot of setting options which I'm trying to learn about. Battery life seems very good and I have an 8GB SDHC (5 comments)

According to the latest NJAR email communications, "on June 10, 2008, the NJAR® Board of Directors voted to strongly support state-mandated continuing education for real estate licensees. The board considered the NJAR® Continuing Education Task Force Outline and the draft Report and Recommendations of the Continuing Education Task Force of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC) throughout its discussion. The NJAR® board voted to accept the NJAR® Continuing Education Task Force Outline. McCain Introduced by Joe Lieberman at Burlington County NJ Town Hall MeetingGOP Presidential hopeful, John McCain, held a major Town Hall meeting at the Burlington County College (BCC) auditorium, a host to many past political events because of it's facilities and location.I was curious to see what McCain was like outside of the sound bites that are normally presented on the news. Beige Book Released By Federal Reserve For June 2008 - 06/12/08 12:55 AM
The Federal Reserve recently published their latest issue of the Beige Book. It is available online. The following is a brief list of it's overall (national) summary findings (using data as of June 2nd):1. Economic activity remained weak since the last report. Economic activity was weak, soft, sluggish, modest in all Districts, except Philadelphia, Atlanta, Cleveland, St. Louis and San Francisco which had stable or little change. 2. Consumer spending slowed over most of the county due to higher gas and food prices. Retail sales were mixed with stable to higher inventories. My daughter this past week went out to pick strawberries with friends at one of the many farms in South Jersey that allow customers to do-it-themselves, save money and have the satisfaction of obtaining fruits and vegetables that are as fresh as possible without expending all the effort and time by growing them yourself. Throughout the summer we will be enjoying fresh blueberries, melons, corn, beans, peppers, tomatoes and more. Whether picking them ourselves, or getting them just-picked at a roadside stand, you can't beat the freshness and tastes of Jersey Grown fruits and vegetables. Getting the Record Straight About the SubPrime Mortgage Crisis - 06/11/08 01:48 PM
The Washington Post published (6/9) a report, How HUD Mortgage Policy Fed The Crisis, subtitled, Subprime Loans Labeled 'Affordable'. The article basically takes HUD to task for fueling the risky lending process, under the banner of "affordable" housing, that was characteristic of the subprime mortgage market. It implicates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but focuses on HUD, starting under the Clinton administration. With regard to federal political campaign contributions, it is now possible to easily determine who your neighbors, friends, relatives, co-workers and associates are supporting and how much money they are giving. The HuffingtonReport FundRace provides this resource. It states, "Want to know if a celebrity is playing both sides of the fence?
